I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former President, Muhammadu Buhari today in London.

President Buhari was a man of great honour, discipline, and quiet strength. He served Nigeria with unwavering dedication, first as a soldier, later as a statesman. Whether in uniform or in civilian attire, his love for our country was unquestionable.

In my interactions with him, I found him to be thoughtful, principled, and always respectful. He believed in the Nigerian project and gave decades of his life to its service.

Meaning: In the name of Allãh (I do make this sacrifice). Indeed, Allãh is the Greatest. Oh Allãh, this came from you (you blessed me with this animal), and it is for you (I am making this sacrifice seeking your acceptance). This is (a sacrifice) from me.
