🚨 WEST DES MOINES PARENTS — THIS NEEDS TO STOP.
A parent has reported seeing an LGBTQ/Pride flag displayed inside a 6th-grade classroom at Jordan Creek Elementary, along with student Chromebooks reportedly decorated with colored tape arranged in Pride colors.
Let’s be clear:
A public-school classroom is not the place for teachers to promote sexual-orientation ideology to sixth-grade children.
And Iowa law specifically addresses this.
Iowa Code §279.80 states that a school district shall not provide a “program, curriculum, test, survey, questionnaire, promotion, or instruction relating to gender theory or sexual orientation” to students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
So we have a simple question for West Des Moines Community Schools:
Is this a “promotion” relating to sexual orientation under Iowa law?
If it is, then it needs to stop.
If the district says it isn’t, then parents deserve a clear explanation of why.
This isn’t about attacking a teacher or mistreating students.
It’s about a public-school employee using a classroom to display symbols associated with a particular sexual-identity movement to children who are in a grade specifically covered by Iowa’s K–6 restrictions.
Parents should not have to wonder whether their children’s classrooms are being used to promote ideological messages.
The reported behavior needs to be investigated.
The district needs to answer for it.
And if this is determined to be prohibited promotion, the indoctrination attempts need to end.
WE’RE TAKING THIS TO THE SCHOOL BOARD.
Fathers for Faith & Freedom has contacted elected officials and relevant education officials to make them aware of the situation and request answers.
Now we’re asking the West Des Moines School Board to address it publicly.
📅 MONDAY, AUGUST 24
🕖 7:00 PM
📍 West Des Moines Community Schools Learning Resource Center
3550 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines
If you are a parent or concerned citizen, show up. Speak respectfully. Ask questions. Demand transparency.
Our children deserve an education—not ideological indoctrination.
Enough is enough.

Jimmy Rogers was asked the Register's Eugene Rapay on his thought process of picking Iowa State to win the Big 12.
"What would you think if I didn't vote on us? You'd wonder why I'm the head coach at Iowa State. I was brought in to win. I'm very self-aware. They didn't hire me to come here and not be competitive. I wasn't hired for my disposition. I was hired to create a program that competes and wins, and that's the goal. We're not signing up for second place. I know that's a bold statement, and it'll be printed everywhere. But the reality is this: the players have to believe in what you say, and you have to act on how you believe. I believe that we can win. So they need to feel that, they need to experience that, they need to see it every single day."
These dudes are dirty as shit bro. How the fuck is that “block” not a foul. You heard the slap on the broadcast and then they run back down full shove Tamin down and immediately play victim. Fuck this
I know it’s just in Tamin Lipsey’s blood, but I get emotional knowing he’s playing every possession like it could be his last in an Iowa State jersey. I love him.
I don’t know what iowa state ever did to the basketball gods but this is not fair. First George when we were natty caliber and now Jefferson. I’m so down bad
I officially have my bracket for this year’s tournament!
Don’t expect a lot of upsets this year… and I have IOWA STATE winning it all!
Good luck to everyone this year!!
How big are the hoops in the Iowa state vs Arizona game! Holy shit. Incredible shot after incredible shot after incredible shot after incredible shot. Nobody missed. Amazing.
The Big 12 is a premier basketball conference and Kansas City treats the tournament as such.
As someone who went to Arizona State and covered multiple Pac-12 tournaments in Vegas— from a basketball perspective it doesn’t even compare.
Also, the fans who are pushing this switch haven’t been here long enough to start making demands.
