News: End of year movie review
Me: They still make movies? Movies which have come out since the pandemic: Oppenheimer, Top Gun, Barbie. No others.
I used to go to the theaters all the time, but movie trailers/ads don't exist anymore.
@netflix, So disappointed in @UmbrellaAcad season 3. There are several different sets of rules for how time travel might work. In seasons 1 & 2 they established this universe works by a set of rules which doesn't include the grandfather paradox - it's not a thing here.
@danielmegarry When I go to https://t.co/TxbMwY4VxD the entire page is replaced with 1st pic. I paused JS to get part of the page, and I can tell you're the article author, but I can't find site contact info with JS paused. Console shows errors in remaining pics. Pls fwd.
@Support Tried to post something. Got this pop-up. WTF does that mean? Clicked "Learn more". Learned nothing because the "How to control your X experience" page has the same obscure phrase with no explanation. Contact us page didn't help either (it says my account isn't locked).
Russia has compromised @YouTube 's Content ID system, using copyright claims to bringing down and/or take over channels covering Russia's war in Ukraine. https://t.co/dT0Rhdxuq5

@krassenstein @WBunchuck They're not being ignorant, they're being honest. Politicians make our laws, yet it's the only job in the world which has 0 job qualifications. Very often the people deciding how things will work, don't understand how anything works.
@PrinceOfAtheism I have heard of them, and every scholar (w/ relevant expertise) rejects the idea. Search: Richard Carrier Historicity of Jesus. He's the only serious scholar making a case that Jesus didn't exist, and he also rejects these.
@PBSSpaceTime GR: The faster relative speed is, the higher the apparent mass & shorter apparent length. When something is going fast enough that the apparent length is less than 2x the Schwarzschild radius of the apparent mass ... would it appear as a rapidly moving black hole?
@ericparentart@notch It's not the planet's apparent size which provides scale, but the planet's distance and the fact that it's between us and the ship which provides scale.
