Having used a 45km/h bike + trailer for almost all short distance transport with our kids for the past 5 years I find the 🇪🇺 limitation a pity for the environment and families. Best lifestyle family hack I've come over.
The power of the spedelec makes the towing confortable and a no sweat activity even with important climbs. Once the kids at their destination you unplug the trailer and you have a perfect commute engine with high speed and very low clean energy consumption.
