@Grummz Really impressive work! Excited to see how this engine progresses.
Was the music in this video also AI-composed? It's pleasantly reminiscent of some of Yasunori Mitsuda's music (Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross).
Let's talk Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC). With high resolution sensing and precise multi-motor controls developed in-house, the Tesla Semi provides torque and stability even on the trickiest of winter surfaces.
@Xil_llix Congratulations on the beautiful new vehicle, my friend! May it safely chauffeur you and your family on journeys both adventurous and mundane for years to come!
History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet.
Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years.
And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor.
You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.
Starlink V3 satellites have >10X bandwidth of V2 and there’ll be >10X launched, which means >100X more bandwidth.
Also, altitude will be 350km vs 550km, so min latency can be cut in half.
Light travels 300km/ms in space, so physics round trip min latency drops to <5ms.
We watched a Waymo Zeekr "Ojai" test vehicle attempt to run a red light last night. It had been red for over ten seconds, and another car was already stopped and waiting in the very next lane. The validation driver gave the Waymo every opportunity to stop but had to slam on the brakes at the last moment, hard enough to activate the antilock braking system.
@johso@sys8263@flyaisleseat@DriveTeslaca Tesla recommends setting the daily charge limit to 100% for LFP batteries, and leaving it plugged in whenever the car is not being used, even for daily driving. The full charge recommendation is "at least" once a week, not "at most".
It was the first test flight of a brand new rocket design. It succeeded in deploying dummy satellites in space (don't worry - they'll re-enter the atmosphere and burn up on their own) and then flew to the planned water landing site in the ocean where it successfully landed softly before falling over into the water and blowing up as planned. The cheers were because all the hard work that went into this initial test paid off. Most of it went to plan, which is quite good for a first try on something this complicated and unprecedented.
@joellisenby@SawyerMerritt@SpaceX What if the people driving next to us on the freeway each day suddenly snap and PIT maneuver us into a concrete wall at 80 mph?
@sen_investing@Chansoo@robotaxi@elonmusk Anyone who has "given up on Cybercab" isn't paying attention. They are being spotted testing all over the country on a daily basis—at least nine states so far—and a growing number are being staged in the outgoing lot at the Austin factory.
Wow!
FSD 14.3.2 just saved my cybertruck and 4 deer by stopping and swerving as I was going 73 mph in pitch dark at midnight.
I didn’t touch anything. I don’t even know if I would have even reacted so fast without avoid them.
So thankful for FSD 🙏🏼 This isn’t the first time it’s slowed for a deer but this is the most aggressive action it has taken to avoid and can clearly see how quick it is for reaction.
Well done @Tesla_AI
@JSX423@phasegatejumper@SawyerMerritt Phones, computers, game consoles, and even smart refrigerators also receive phased updates for both apps and operating systems. It's done due to caution, not hype or specialness. I suggest you work on getting used to it.
The stated plan is to launch every hour and have hundreds, or perhaps even thousands, of ships in orbit, fueled up, and ready to embark on the journey when orbits align.
They got clearance to launch from Florida as well, so perhaps 50 or more per day can be put in orbit in the weeks leading up to orbital alignment.
