Season 05 MP #RankedPlay Update:

Adjustments to MP Ranked Play are rolling out now to address player feedback on the competitiveness of Rank matchups.

Ranks and the sub-Tiers within each Rank (ex: Platinum I, II, and III) are now more heavily prioritized when forming Ranked Play matches, and today's changes will result in more competitive matches with players from same and similar Ranks whenever possible (eg. Diamonds vs. Diamonds, Crimsons vs. Crimsons, etc.).

Underlying bands within Ranks are being removed entirely to further the work on SR changes introduced in Season 04. With this update, all players in the same Rank Tier will have the same match experience, and matches for all players within the same Rank Tier will be formed equally based on their current Rank SR. Previously, some players in higher Ranks were being insulated from tougher matches that other players in the same Rank were not also experiencing. Today's change helps reduce overall Rank inflation and brings competitive consistency to each Rank, encouraging Ranked Play players to improve and adapt as they move through the Ranks if they want to continue to climb.

On Tuesday 1,100 gallons of toxic firefighting foam (AFFF) leaked from the Navy’s Red Hill facility. AFFF contains PFAS, a forever chemical that can cause cancer. These pictures show cleanup efforts at the site of the leak, directly above O'ahu’s primary source of drinking water.
