Hey hey, I’m the ceo at Sonos and — true story — the team and I have time this week on volume control specifically. We know it’s fidly still and we’re gonna sort it out (lots of great feedback over on Reddit about the same).
One bit of progress in the App Store release this week: grab anywhere on the control to initiate a drag, not just the damn nubbin (rolling out slowly, soon to 100%).
Love your mockup.
@bhalligan Very happy to help! We're working on making sure every Sonos customer has a great experience in the first place of course but when they don't, I want their support experience to be second to none. Lots to do still but glad this story has a happy ending.
I’ve been asked to be the next CEO of Sonos. Grateful for the perspectives and critiques that many of you have shared here these last 6 months while I was interim. So excited for the road ahead.
@thisboyuan@chriswelch Glad you enjoyed the read. I had a good time talking to Chris. We have work to do, and a lot of trust to restore. At some point you do have to come out of hiding and say “we screwed up, we’ve made some progress, and we won’t rest until everyone is back up and running”
Very excited to step into the interim CEO job at Sonos. Shared a note with the team this morning about why I'm here and the path forward...

40 years ago, when I was 14 years old, Apple introduced the Macintosh and the course of my life was set.
From the moment I saw the 1984 ad I knew that was the case & so for 40 years I’ve held on to some keepsakes — including this full page ad from Jan 25th, the day after launch
