@stephenrkell On the Ubuntu systems I maintain /bin, /lib* and /sbin are all just links to their counterparts under /usr. So looks like it really expects / and /usr to be the same filesystem these days.
This has caused some fun today. Some odd errors related to the old certificate still being on servers, so validation of chain failing. Fortunately just needed to update ca-certificates on Ubuntu, once I realised that was the problem :-)

@fusenUK I got so used to using a trackpad on a laptop that I now have one on my desk instead of a mouse. I like having gestures too. Don't really miss the mouse.
@fusenUK Yeah, that's a pretty sucky way of doing business. My provider reduced prices but didn't tell existing customers. You only got the cheaper price if you bothered to check.
