Everytime I speak to someone who has written #TheMPT I get more embarrassed for @ONeducation. Accommodations are not being met, attempts disappearing from the dashboard, error codes instead of test results,... the list goes on.

“While I achieved the “provincial standard” on the MPT with a 72%, I failed because the sections are split and you have to achieve a 70% in each section. Achieving 68% in the math section and 80% in the pedagogy is not enough for the gov to allow me to be a teacher”

Aug 31, 2021 - licenses are revoked, new teachers can no longer teach, no new testing windows.

This is just one example of the inequities we are facing daily with this career dependent test. This is not just a math test.

Why? We can score 100% on the math and still fail the pedagogy (memorization of 1000s of pages of ministry documents) section with a 69%.

Day #4

Last night, conditional and temp certified teachers received an email from OCT stating their licenses will be revoked without the MPT. Their account deleted and forced to reapply & pay all fees AFTER passing the MPT.

Inexplicably, there are no future testing windows.

@missesampson @maritstiles @LauraMaeLindo @ChrisGloverMPP We have had the same experience when trying to contact. It either endlessly rings, or we are put on hold for hours. We ultimately have to hang up because a lot of us are teaching and our students come first.

The reports coming in from test takers are demonstrating the rushed, flawed and underdeveloped MPT

Our focus should be on our students, their mental health.... and ours

I JUST graduated 6 years of university, and started an AQ course in special education, yet have to think about studying for the #MPT that I have no time or mental capacity for. The mental health of teachers must be a priority, so why isn’t @Sflecce listening? @ONeducation
