@MissUlbrichOSU A35- I think question 3 is the most important because it is key to set a foundation for learning for our students and we must first question if our materials are accessible and accommodating and if the setting allows for our students to feel comfortable to learn.

@MissUlbrichOSU A36- I love the story "The Napping House". I think the sequential patterns are great for students to be able to predict what is coming next or memorize what has previously happened. I think repetition is great to enhance previously learned skills.

The Ohio State School for the Blind’s after-school pgrm serves 50+ students five days a week w/ 25 unique clubs. Today, we visited a few: daily living skills, modeling, coding, fitness and girl’s leadership/running clubs. Really great things happening for these students! #OhioEd

@MissMorosky @MrCourtneyOSU A34- I really like how you incorporated that photo. The hand measurements are something I have always used to remember what the measurements are like. One thing I would think students may struggle with is finding these resources if they would not have them at home to measure with

@MrCourtneyOSU A33- I always had trouble with problems like task 10. I never knew where to start or how we would be able to know how to get those numbers. Even looking at the problem now, I am unsure of what to do to solve it. I think a lot of scaffolding would need to be done to understand.

@MrCourtneyOSU A32- I think it is important to establish that our students understand level one before moving on. I do not think it is a negative thing to have students in the classroom on differing levels because each student can learn differently. We can scaffold other levels by partner work

@MissJonesOSU @MissTaliahK_OSU A28- I agree this can be very confusing for children. We often see videos where children think parts of a whole are complete new wholes and that can be tough to conceptualize. I wonder how we can change that mindset?

@MissTaliahK_OSU A27- I think it is more important to hear what they have to say because what the wrote may not reflect what they are thinking. I recently had a student confuse what they wrote with what they were actually thinking so I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t ask

@MissCarterOSU A25- I think it is so important to resist using a quick fix when teaching students. Thinking back on how I have helped students in the past I would just tell them the answer after a try or two and hope they would memorize what I did and that is not helpful at all

@MissSmithOSU @MissCarterOSU A23- Morgan, I love the idea of using manipulatives when teaching math. I plan to use physical representations of quantities for students with visual impairments. I want to get creative like with the egg container idea to show groups of two.
