@ClearoutCards I have a lot of stuff that I think you’d be interested in. No base, unless they’re premium rookies. Can put together a big lot. Baseball, Basketball, Soccer and some Football. Can’t DM you without a follow.
@FFgoat13@JohnLap1977@Coach_Yac 😂😂 “Simms is right - Purdy isn’t good. He makes a TON of mistakes. It just so happens, that NFL defenses NEVER seem to capitalize on them. They take advantage of Jordan Love and every other quarterback when they fuck up, but Brock Purdy gets away with everything!” FOH.
Some of the replies in this thread are downright disturbing. We’re not talking about one accuser, or even two. We’re talking about SEVERAL and there are likely more! We’ve only heard from those that chose, courageously, to share their stories.
“But he was acquitted!”
Right. So was OJ.
@MAAVcards@BigBobsCards Exactly - the fact that he played for an Astros affiliate at the time can’t be ignored when the overwhelming majority of his bets involved the Astros. “Peak Stupidity” lmao. Well said.
I’m going to say the Giants defy the odds and win it. They’ve played just well enough to hang around thus far and it’s going to be interesting to see how they look with a healthy pitching staff. A staff that would include Robby Ray and Alex Cobb, in addition to Snell, Webb and Hicks.
I HATE this. A card has numerous sales averaging $2500 over the course of several months, and someone, out of desperation, accepts a low offer. And this one sale is going to alter the value of said card? NEGATIVE. Yet, all too often, sellers allow this to impact their asking price. FOH.
@RyansCardssLLC My favorite part is when he asks if YOU’RE that big a fraud! I should say, when he attempted to ask - he couldn’t quite get there. Not because of the insanity in saying something so stupid, but because he literally couldn’t type the question correctly. Smart.
@FlyingAsianCard Damn - the Silver Holo is AMAZING this year too. That hurts to look at. I’d surely request a refund. Sorry to see you were the recipient of such poor packing.
Well said Jake - you’re spot on about the risk. Hopefully he’s able to stay healthy and down the road, we’re talking about how, as high as the expectations were, he exceeded them.
Just to pivot for a moment, while considering the comparison, it got me to thinking about other players with tremendous upside who for one reason or another, carried a higher (at least perceived) injury risk than others. Big men often fall into this category and in trying to find another comparison, Yao came to mind. Hard to believe, but he only missed 2 games in his first 3 seasons in the league. He played in 82, 82 and 80, respectively. In hindsight, it’s fair to wonder if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but I found it incredibly impressive nonetheless.
Much like Chet Holmgren or Ben Simmons, his rookie year became the year after he was drafted. I acknowledged they’re comparable as far as size, having both been selected number one overall and both came in with a lot of hype - I just think that’s where the comparison ends. We just disagree, which is fine. I appreciate a healthy debate. And I’m 36.
