I had fun presenting @scaphockey's NHL conference with 2 things I'd never done before (you would never guess).
1) Presented barefoot (there was a balance/foot expert talking before me).
2) Played the Clash's "Should I stay or should I go" song to start out the travel tips info.
"For the last few years, we have been using a standard, CMJ. We undertook a detailed review of our testing and decided to move to a hands-on-hips drop jump (DJ). When I tell this to my counterparts around the league, I usually get raised eyebrows..."
4) Med Ball Split Side Toss
This movement sacrifices stability to place a greater demand on “core” musculature. The primary focus of this movement is the deceleration/acceleration component, and having the ability to change direction quickly with instability.

3) Med Ball Lateral Hop Side Toss
Start the movement with a hop away from the target. Then plant the back leg to decelerate and explode off that leg. Again, coordination is critical. You can adjust several variables in this drill for different goals.
