✅Defunding Planned Parenthood ✅
Following the Executive Order I signed last week, taxpayer dollars through Medicaid can no longer subsidize abortion providers in Nebraska.
We are pro-baby. We are pro-mom. We are pro-science. We are pro-life!
💯 this. Americans of all ages—and especially our kids—are addicted to screens and dumbphones. It’s hurting our physical and mental health.
Put down your phones. Get outside. Get active. 🚶♀️ 🌲
America faces more than a chronic disease epidemic that threatens our physical health. We also face a spiritual malaise that undermines our mental health.
Our children are increasingly isolated, fragmented, and anxious, spending more than 8.5 hours a day on screens.
This summer, put down the phone and reconnect with nature, family, and community. It's time to Take Back Your Health. Eat Real Food. Get Active. Together, we will Make America Healthy Again.
Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers have encountered numerous challenges this year, including drought, wildfires, severe weather, and various hardships affecting the families that produce our food, fuel, and fiber. Nebraska Farm Bureau was privileged to join Governor Jim Pillen in commemorating a Day of Prayer for Nebraska Agriculture on June 18 at the State Capitol. Together, we can uplift Nebraska’s farm and ranch families, rural communities, and all those whose livelihoods are tied to agriculture. Join NEFB President Mark McHargue in prayer with this video. 🙏🌾 #NebraskaAgriculture #FarmersAndRanchers #DayofPrayer
There is now bipartisan focus at all levels of government across America and right here in Nebraska on the challenges posed by unbridled data center expansion in our communities.
I am proud to have been one of the early voices calling attention to this issue. From Day 1 as Governor, I have called for action on the twin needs to BOTH dramatically increase our national AI processing capacity to maintain our strategic edge against China and other foreign adversaries AND dramatically increase (and protect) our electricity production so that data centers aren’t powered on the backs of working family ratepayers.
I’ve matched these words with action. Last session I championed and signed into law LB1261, which for the first time permits “behind the meter” power generation by data center developers and puts the financial burden on those large corporations—not Nebraska families—to bring their own power.
We will win the energy and AI dominance game against China, and we will protect Nebraska farmers, ranchers, small businesses, and homeowners as we do it.

Congratulations to the seven newest Troopers of the @NEStatePatrol who graduated today.
These Troopers will work every day to protect Nebraskans and keep our communities safe. Thank you for answering the call to serve and protect. 🇺🇸👮♂️
Today, Suzanne and I joined faith leaders, @NEAttorneyGen, @NEFarmBureau, Director Sherry Vinton, and a representative from @USDA for a Day of Prayer for Agriculture at the Capitol.
This year has been one of the toughest I can remember for Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers. As they face drought, wildfire threats, and other challenges, we ask all Nebraskans to join us in praying for rain, safety, and an end to these wildfires.
Our farmers and ranchers work tirelessly to feed the world. Please keep them and their families in your prayers. 🙏🌽🇺🇸
Thank you to @FTC and @NEAttorneyGen for your leadership in pursuing this lawsuit. Our children are our future, and we have a responsibility to protect them and ensure transparency in healthcare.
We’ve led in Nebraska; in my first year in office we banned sex-change surgeries on kids. With this action Nebraska remains at the tip of the spear in this fight.

Access to affordable childcare is not something families with young children should have to worry about.
Yesterday, I celebrated the signing of LB304 with a bipartisan group of senators. This legislation expands eligibility for childcare assistance and will help thousands of Nebraska families maintain access to affordable care while enabling parents to remain in the workforce.
Thank you to Senator DeBoer for sponsoring this legislation, and to Senators von Gillern, Rountree, and Prokop for supporting the bill and attending the signing ceremony.
This week, June 15–21, we celebrate Navy Week in Nebraska. As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, I had the opportunity to spend time with some Navy Sailors. I was especially honored to hear the story of Molly, a Nebraskan who joined the Navy as a Sea Cadet at just 13 years old.
A huge Nebraska thank you to all the men and women who serve in our nation’s Navy!

Progress is being made in fighting the South Fork Wildfire, which is now 74% contained. If you need assistance recovering lost crops or feed supplies, or if you would like to donate, please use the Nebraska Wildfire Hay Recovery Program.
Thank you to all the volunteer firefighters, the @NENationalGuard, and emergency responders who are fighting these wildfires.

Fort Robinson State Park in northwestern Nebraska is partially reopening as crews work to tame the South Fork Fire, which has now burned 39,000 acres.

My Administration is proud to partner with @FLOTUS and @SecScottBessent to help ensure Nebraska’s most vulnerable children have the opportunity to succeed.
Nebraska’s foster youth will receive a Fostering the Future Account. These accounts are similar to the Trump Accounts being provided to children across America.
🇺🇸
It was important for me to be in Crawford today to visit with firefighters, first responders, and those impacted by the devastating wildfires.
Crawford will come out of this disaster stronger than ever. Nebraskans are built tough and with grit.

🚨 🚨 🚨
This morning @TheJusticeDept announced the arrest and charging of several individuals across the United States, including one in Nebraska, for an alleged plot to carry out an attack to kill government officials and others attending the UFC fight held at the White House on Sunday.
The attack was to involve drone-delivered explosives followed by shooting at survivors as they fled the scene.
One of the key ringleaders of this planned attack was identified by the @FBI right here in Nebraska. I am proud beyond words not only that this terrorist is now behind bars, but also that our @NEStatePatrol provided significant support in the FBI-led operation that took him into custody.
This nationwide investigation is ongoing and further details may emerge, but it already provides a timely example that violent extremists can be lurking anywhere, even right here in the Good Life. As always, homeland security starts at home, and vigilance is critical to identify and stop attacks like this before they can be carried out.
Thank God that our national leaders, including @POTUS@realDonaldTrump, are safe, and thank God for the brave men and women of law enforcement everywhere in this country for the work they do to protect the innocent from anarchy and violence.

Property valuations are running out of control. From valuations to levy setting to tax collection, this is another example of the systemic problems that continue to drive property taxes higher.
Thank you to all those assisting in fighting the South Fork Fire. This is incredible footage of Airtanker 914 dropping fire retardant near Crawford.
Volunteer firefighters and responders continue to work to contain the flames. Today the fire is nearly 55% contained. If you are in the area, please continue to monitor warnings from local officials.
I will be returning to the Panhandle tomorrow to offer support to families, ranchers, and local first responders.
Today, First Lady Suzanne Pillen, Lt. Governor Joe Kelly, and I were proud to announce the partners who will help showcase Nebraska at the #GreatAmericanStateFair on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. from June 25 - July 10.
Thank you to our partners: Union Pacific, Werner Enterprises, Tenaska, Valmont Industries, Boys Town, Nebraska Public Power, Nebraska State Fair, Nebraska State Historical Society, and the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation for helping us showcase the very best of Nebraska.

First Lady Suzanne and I were beyond honored to join a pre-CWS tailgate with volunteer firefighters, @DCSheriffNE deputies, and their families. Thank you to the generous folks who made this possible for our first responders.
Thank you @fema for the swift approval of the Fire Management Assistance Grant which will help cover the costs in fighting the South Fork Fire near Crawford.
We’ve made serious progress, with containment up to 45% as of late last night, but the fight isn’t over.
God Bless all our firefighters, National Guardsmen, and other responders working to contain this fire. Please pray for our volunteers who are working to protect Nebraska.
