Last month, we hosted an on-campus workshop on Auditing AI, the theme of our most recent Call for Proposals (CFP). The event brought together CFP award recipients to connect in person, share progress on their auditing AI projects and learn from each other. https://t.co/E72xCanhuN
A video replay along with a quick recap of our June 1 virtual symposium on foundation models in AI is now available!
The event focused on the ethical use of foundation models—which underlie many generative AI applications—in enterprise contexts.

REMINDER: Next Thurs. (6/1) is our (free) virtual symposium on foundation models!
Much of the attention on generative AI concerns commercial applications. This event will explore a multi-stakeholder approach to these technologies in enterprise contexts.

Foundation models are drawing widespread public interest driven by the increased visibility of applications like ChatGPT.
We're hosting a (free) virtual symposium that will explore how to govern deployment of these technologies in enterprise contexts. https://t.co/PWgWloc7xR
I have sabbatical plans! The Tech Ethics Lab at Notre Dame fellowship gives me the ability to spend more time over the next year doing more science communication. 🥳 i.e., I hope you like TikToks and YouTube videos... I'll still be based in Boulder but will have space to travel.
Marianna is an assistant professor of philosophy at @UnionCollege. Her project, “New Tools for Ethical Risk Analysis and Risk Mitigation in the Use of AI,” aims to produce a step-by-step guide for companies on how to assess and then address risk connected to the ways they use AI.
Casey is an associate professor at @CUBoulderCMCI and will be working on a project titled “AI Ethics for All.” Expect some great TikTok and YouTube content, among other things, as a result.
As @NotreDame undergrads plan their schedules for fall, we check in with some of the courses that students can take as part of the tech ethics minor, including "The Archaeology of Hacking" and "Auditing AI." https://t.co/CIGhDeooUe
On behalf of both ND TEC and our colleagues at the @techethicslab, congratulations to our tech ethics postdoc @georginacurto on being appointed a visiting scholar at @BerkeleyKCESP for the coming summer!
