https://t.co/J2GZspUkNx I agree, soft deletion is often not worth it. There are some non-trivial edge cases to consider like cascading deletion and making sure associations/joins behave correctly. It adds another category of bugs to your application.

@jonathanstark For something to be valuable it means that someone is benefitting from it. Hard work benefits the doer by making them stronger. Meaningful work benefits others. Therefore, work does not have to be hard to be valuable.
Consider this thought experiment: kill someone by crushing them under the weight of a billion toothpicks, each thrown by a different person. Each person likely does not consider themselves the murderer. Now apply this to spreading misinformation that eventually leads to violence.
