Since you haven’t figured it out yet, let me tell you how this works. Player agents contact GMs and vice versa. “Teams” don’t talk to the players. The don’t have to. They players don’t go on the record with any decision until the season is over. An agent tells Hypeman, “school X wants you. I’ve been talking to them, here is what they’re willing to do”. Player says yes or no. That is not tampering. We’ll never know who contacted who. Agents shop their clients all the time. And before you get too high up on your horse, you’re a fool if you think the exact same shit doesn’t go on at Tennessee, Florida and all the big dogs. So spare us the incessant whining. It’s not illegal. It sucks that this is where we’ve landed with college sports but we, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE are trying our best to use the current environment to our benefit. The reality of it is, we’re the new kid on the block and we’re holding our own. And clearly a lot of traditional powerhouses don’t like it. So, it gets spun into this wild tale of TaMpErInG b/c it makes yall feel better that we must have done something illicit to get where we’ve gotten in 2 years. We’re most definitely playing by the exact same rules, we’re just doing it better right now. It’s as plain as day dude.
