After an year of keeping it to myself (code version), i'm finally launching @snapyai (AI Video Editor) to larger audience. I would've Quit content creation if i hadn't build this for me last year. The editing work is just brutal for a starter with a full time job.
Doesn't have to be like that for you. Not now. The app is free to use, give it a shot! Your feedback is appreciated.
Here's the launch video:

After years of being on the fence, i quit my job a couple of weeks to go solo. Something I've always wanted to do.
I've spent most of my time building and scaling products. My last job was in product and growth building and scaling generative ai products. This is going to be my last ever job.
I only knew how to write python scripts 2 months back. But i decided to learn MERN thanks to MAKE by @levelsio (and his tweets + Danny too).
What's next? Trying to launch my first product at the end of this month (this will be my first official launch as a solo). I'm still spending hours every day to learn and implement. But I'm pretty sure I'll get there.
I really appreciate the #buildinpublic community. It's the most honest start up / solo community out there. I'm excited to contribute and learn.
Again, this isn't a promotional post, but something I've been meaning to post for a couple of weeks now. 🙏
Used to feel awkward sharing a competitors win. "what good could it possibly bring to my product?"
There's 8 billion people in the World.
You need 100 to pay you.
Your competitor is teaching you.
I support everyone now. Let's win together

My AI courses crossed 3000 students on Udemy. I've always been passionate about teaching. The goal for this year is to teach 10,000 students :)

🔼 700+ new followers (6000+ overall now)
🔼 engagement rates
good part about this is that the recommendation system is now targeting ai enthusiasts.

crazy, stable diffusion's new model converts thoughts in your head into videos.
left: videos watched by you
right: videos made after data was deciphered coming from your brain

Built out a very simple landing page on next js, react and netlify. Something cooking for my Instagram community. Had done very little code 2 months back. Picking it up again is fun! #generativeai#buildinpublic#promptengineering
Summarised version of the 3-hour Senate hearing. OpenAI's Sam Altman called for significant AI regulation. Brief rundown:
1️⃣ AI's Potential Impact: Senators from both sides of the aisle acknowledged the transformative potential of AI, likening it to the creation of the internet or the atomic bomb.
2️⃣ US Lags in Global Regulation: The EU and China are far ahead in AI regulation. The US needs to catch up.
3️⃣ Call for AI Licensing: Altman proposed a government agency for AI safety oversight with the power to license and regulate AI models.
4️⃣ International Cooperation: Altman also advocated for international regulation, with the US leading the charge.
5️⃣ OpenAI & Regulation: Regulation, particularly licensing, could benefit OpenAI significantly, helping to secure its business.
6️⃣ Copyright & Compensation: Altman agreed artists whose work is used in AI training should be compensated, but remained vague on details.
7️⃣ Section 230 & AI: Altman argued that the protections of Section 230 should not apply to AI models, calling for new regulation instead.
8️⃣ AI Threat to Democracy: The most immediate threat from AI, according to Altman, is to democracy, due to the potential for large-scale, personalized disinformation campaigns.
9️⃣ Rule by Corporations?: Critics voiced concerns about the concentration of AI power in corporations like OpenAI and Microsoft, fearing a scenario where corporations dictate the rules.

I already like bard for the confidence. did a comparison video too, it proves it does better than gpt-4. really considering renewing chatGPT plus next month - the only issue right now with bard is that memory is weak, won't remember beyond 2-3 prompt cycles.
Google is all set to rule ai in 2023. Top updates:
> BARD is open with integrations across top tools as extensions
> BARD + Firefly partnership
> PaLM 2 announced
> Watermarking AI generated images
> Prompts in Google workspaces
> Magic editor to edit your photos

Google: "We Have No Moat, And Neither Does OpenAI" ~ says leaked internal document at Google. No one building using ai wrapper has any moat right now. Training your own model is the only way to build a meaningful "temporary" moat.

Midjourney v5.1 is insane. Basically, it can generate really good images with shorter prompts.
Top 5 Prompts:
