What works:
* CEO as chief marketer
* genuine, original social presence
* relentless content production
* smaller in person events (dinners etc)
* online smale scale events (webinars!)

A lot of B2B marketers (CMO, VP Marketing etc) surprisingly seem to be stuck in that first world

Relieved to see Shanghai made it through April... Was deeply worried about political unrest during that last week when major online protests were erupting left and right.

What 20 million went through is an ordeal, but it would be far more ideal than a year of societal collapse.

The shock of a global hub sitting still for 1.5 months is already making headlines.

On the ground, however, it has:
1) diminished faith in local governance;
2) posed severe doubts re the sustainability of 0-COVID policy;
3) instilled a scarcity mindset in metropolitan consumers.

The lockdown came at huge cost to me personally: did my 1st ambulance ride likely due to an anxiety attack; went without greens for two weeks; Grandpa passed but I couldn't pay my respect in person.

Yet it doesn't compare to so many in the city who endured much, much worse.
