Check the scoreboard. Eritrean 🇪🇷 President Isaias Afwerki and Somali 🇸🇴 President Siad Barre commanded the most powerful militaries in Africa of their eras (Somalia: 1970s-1980s, Eritrea: 1991-Present).

We will never forget 1977, when Somalia beat Ethiopia so badly the Soviets had to send 20,000 Cuban troops to rescue their Ethiopian damsel in distress. Somalis fought so many Cubans that they came home speaking fluent Spanish.
