@TateOrtena@NativeSantaCruz They'd raise rates to pay that settlement just as they've raised rates to pay their fines for burning half of of California. They are a publicly traded for profit company. Until that changes, they will always do what's best for the shareholders, not customers.

I’d love to see some of the residents of the hundreds of apartment buildings where owners are currently blocking @Sonic fiber installations weigh in with the FCC. Particularly those in subsidized housing, or those who fear retaliation by their landlords.
@NativeSantaCruz That bridge is on Via Del Sol at Browns Valley Road. Browns Valley Road is not affected. The residents on the other side of that bridge have a secondary evacuation route out to Eureka Canyon via Las Colinas Rd.
