@AITA_reddit I have to make my husband different meals because he has IBS and we don't want our toddler to develop disordered eating from such a limited menu. Even an easy swap every meal becomes burdensome. So, no. I wouldn't do it just because he doesn't think dinner is nummy tonight.
@JaneLebak@AITA_reddit She doesn't need to turn a 10 and 8 yo against him. They see things and are hyper aware of what's fair and what isn't. Dad wants to believe she's trashing him, but didn't say anything to prove it.
@AITA_reddit 1. PPA is a pp mood disorder like ppd, and can be just as harmful. It can make you lash out, and medicated doesn't mean cured.
2. Maybe she's not saying she doesn't like you to manipulate you. Could be she doesn't like you anymore.
@UnicornCupcakin@Skell20XX@AITA_reddit Also, if her friends are in relationships, have kids, have plans, are actually quarantined... she's probably alone. All day and evening. Every Friday and Saturday.
@angelt18@Lenniesaurus@AITA_reddit Also, she's proven she can take care of her things (at 7, no less!) but no way am buying her something new and nice that could take her into adulthood. This woman is being petty and calling it responsible parenting.
@redditships What I say to my 9 month old when he's tantruming: I appreciate you communicating with me, but NO THANK YOU. Be firm and consistent. I'm sure it will be just as effective for your little one.
@AITA_reddit I can't believe Jane's husband didn't have that reaction. Or maybe what "ruined" the party was that OP's reaction led to Jane's husband saying "yeah, WTF?"
Also, what a delicate flower that someone saying that to you ruins your day.
@WholeManDispose When someone's water breaks in an absolute deluge, as opposed to them wondering for the last 3 weeks of pregnancy whether their water broke or they just peed a little?
@janicesghost@ErinElyseMarine@AITA_reddit She's not "taken care of" though. She takes care of herself. I think, for real, we're conditioned to think that if your partner's money is important to you at all, you're a gold digger. OP seems committed to being independent, but it's an engagement ring!
@janicesghost@AITA_reddit Even if I love vintage or handcrafted, I wouldn't expect my husband to start with Etsy for an engagement ring. There are better places to get that stuff. There are better engagement rings ON ETSY.
@such_hockey_wow@AITA_reddit He absolutely agreed to the rule, but she doesn't get to be salty when he tells people that he's not allowed to eat pork and why. If she's embarrassed for people to know that she asked her husband not to eat something, she shouldn't have asked.
