@JosephKahn @TheInSneider As a 50 yr old “normal” I can say you’re correct and frame the argument further within the context of my experience:I grew up being able to abide a “good movie” being panned by critics, my eyes knew better. But after bad movies started getting universally praised..the trust died

[Matt @TeeReno]

@limalemonnn Feels like most people are missing the overriding social dynamic here; Tobey’s self-esteem wrapped up in his poker prowess vis-a-vis a proxy for his intellect/superiority. An Olympic level athlete like Bloom doesn’t have an inferiority complex based on trivial matters like this

[Matt @TeeReno]

@dartdynasty Christ, this is gonna get exhausting. Couldn’t care less about tourists getting their face ripped off or being on the other side extracting a scalp…just reluctantly acquiescing to more compliance training forthcoming, fun

[Matt @TeeReno]

@bendreyfuss Constello or using a cutout like Philip still begs the question regarding their own credit history, can’t imagine either were 750+ when they both probably didn’t have a job history/legitimate tax returns. Damon claiming he’s paying cash works much better but who cares..I liked it

[Matt @TeeReno]

@daveweigel @Finn_aka_Jeremy I’m one of those “old guys” too and could never abide by wasting other people’s time. Even back in the day when it was the only option before hitting the town, I prided myself by being the fastest ATM user ever as the line (I hoped) looked on in silent appreciation of my skill 😉

[Matt @TeeReno]

@rizzo_pubhist I agree and frame it this way: Dr Melfi scenes during Sopranos early seasons were insightful but lost their relevance as time went on, we already had a fully-formed character; sessions added nothing for the viewer. Don’s VOs happened too late in the run, his character was all set

[Matt @TeeReno]

@mmm_btus @tipvortice There’s no such thing as “batteries supporting” black start units, that’s a contradiction of the entire premise and not modeled in any shape/form in the emergency procedures. Why would you incorporate a unit by definition needs electrical power in a restoration of no electricity

[Matt @TeeReno]

@mmm_btus Amen! Sure, black-start testing is conducted in timely intervals but largely theoretical. I’m not doubting the science behind it but Mike Tyson said it best, everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face

[Matt @TeeReno]

@amn3siak @BlueFlameBlues

[Matt @TeeReno]

@kavithadavidson @JG_GizmoJones Here’s a thought exercise; not using a progressive word-salad to describe the situation that elides a critical dynamic regarding the topic at hand. Engage with Collectively Bargained Agreement and its implication, I think you use CBA to not have to engage this isn’t top down

[Matt @TeeReno]

@stephenrodrick Not to mention the claim regarding his son being in tears over future roster limitations. Rings as true as the woman who self-indulgently said her daughter yelled “Ruthkanda forever!” He’s long a deprecating asset and upset, no need to embellish

[Matt @TeeReno]

@stevest84381321 @tipvortice Umm…yeah…the TLR obviously was posted to the market and more importantly to refute your point, a TLR doesn’t need EEA2 (or EEA1 for that matter) to be issued. There’s a direct correlation between PJM going from printing $1600 to sub $100 while MISO pops, power flows confirm

[Matt @TeeReno]

@ElectricCat8 @xiaowang1984 In case there was any doubt about the correlation:)

[Matt @TeeReno]

@ElectricCat8 @xiaowang1984 An outlier for sure but tonight a good example of how they can individually impact each other’s markets…PJM cuts exports to MISO…MISO prints

[Matt @TeeReno]

@daveweigel @wesyang The counter-argument is your a suburban dad that paid a premium (one you let the wife be blissfully unaware) for an original T-shirt you owned in HS 😉

[Matt @TeeReno]

@BenMullin @jessesingal To put a finer point on my comment,I woulda thought the media reporter for the NYTs would have deemed the role of “aggregator” beneath the institution and rightly so. Yes, you were able to extract a “no comment” from the involved because of your station but otherwise no value add

[Matt @TeeReno]

@BenMullin @jessesingal “New”? It’s a summary of publicly available information, contains the same reporting depth as the Daily Beast’s idiotic recaps of a late-night host’s shocking monologue.I’m not saying it’s a “bad” article to run in the NYTs but as it stands it meets a worst threshold: unnecessary

[Matt @TeeReno]

@lazeekat @NikRule There is a very important distinction between fundraising and the NIL landscape, there is no tax benefit donating to the NIL coffers. The well empties every year and must be replenished with the only monetary incentive being a winning season, an unsustainable economic cycle

[Matt @TeeReno]

@jaycaspiankang This is entirely correct. In my opinion the league’s leadership should be less concerned with validity of either sides of the arguments and recognize the deteriorating effect of it’s existence…it’s exhausting
