@samouha071 Yes, if you’ve already completed the upgrade and the new TEL isn’t showing in Trust Wallet, you can add the new token manually. The same contract is used on Ethereum, Base, and Polygon. Are you having trouble finding the Add/Import Custom Token option in your version of Trust Wallet?
@RyanB_XRP We haven’t seen a confirmed Bitrue announcement regarding the TEL upgrade yet, so I wouldn’t assume the migration will be handled automatically. The safest approach is to withdraw your TEL to a non custodial wallet you control and complete the upgrade through the official upgrade portal, if withdrawals are available. Are you currently holding your TEL on Bitrue, or have you already moved it to a self-custody wallet?
@tnwnm77 If your TEL is already held in the Telcoin App, you don’t need to move it elsewhere just because of the upgrade. The official TEL FAQ states that the Telcoin Wallet supports upgrading both staked and unstaked TEL, with the upgraded balance remaining in the wallet. If you’re not seeing the upgrade option, could you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing in the app so we can point you toward the correct route?
@pedro2206 If the migration transaction is confirmed but the new TEL isn’t showing in Ledger Wallet, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything went wrong. The new TEL uses a separate contract, and Ledger’s token support can vary by network. Could you confirm which network you upgraded on and whether the migration transaction is showing as confirmed?
@PappaGoat Not quite. After the upgrade, new TEL exists on Ethereum, Base, and Polygon using the same new TEL contract, and it can be bridged between those networks. So there will still be TEL liquidity on those chains.
@TelcoinTAO@Uniswap Once the Tel token is officially upgraded what happens to all these liquidity pools? There won’t be an Eth/base/polygon version of Tel correct? Simply native Tel?
I understand your concern, and you’re right to be cautious with DMs given the number of impersonators claiming to be support. I’m part of the team, and I’m asking you to DM specifically so we can handle your case privately and avoid exposing your information or creating a long public thread.
@oil_forex If your TEL is currently on KuCoin, you should not connect KuCoin to the TEL upgrade portal or try to upgrade it yourself. KuCoin is a custodial exchange, so the migration needs to be handled through KuCoin’s own process.
Could you confirm whether your TEL is currently held on KuCoin Ethereum, Base, or Polygon?
If the migration is already confirmed on-chain, your TEL remains secured by your Ledger address even if the Ledger interface does not display the new balance yet. Unsupported tokens can also be viewed through compatible EVM interfaces such as Rabby or Zerion while Ledger remains the signer. Could you confirm which network you upgraded on and whether the transaction is showing as confirmed?
@oil_forex Understood. Since your TEL is still on KuCoin and you can withdraw it through Ethereum or Polygon, please DM us so we can look into your situation more closely and guide you on the appropriate migration route. This will also help us avoid making the thread unnecessarily long.
@_KryptoKoala You’re not missing it. The current official TEL FAQ says the Telcoin Wallet supports upgrading both staked and unstaked TEL, but the process may not appear as a separate “Upgrade” button in the normal wallet interface. If you’re holding TEL in the Telcoin mobile app and cannot find the upgrade option, please DM us with a screenshot of what you see and we can help point you to the correct support route.
@telcoin I have TEL held in the Telcoin Wallet, mobile app (iPhone). The app is updated. There's nothing in the app allowing me to upgrade.
Unless I'm missing something?
@Babbayaga_1 Yes, that can be the reason. If the new TEL isn’t currently supported or displayed in Ledger Wallet, it may not appear even after a successful on-chain upgrade. Ledger confirms that unsupported ERC-20 tokens may need to be viewed through an alternative EVM interface such as Zerion or Rabby while Ledger continues to secure the assets.
Could you confirm which network you upgraded on and whether the transaction is showing as confirmed?
Got it. If Coinbase Wallet isn’t listed as an option, don’t move your TEL just yet. The official portal describes the process as connecting an EVM-compatible self-custody wallet, and the upgrade supports Ethereum, Base, and Polygon.
Could you share a screenshot of the wallet-selection screen and confirm which network your TEL is on?
@livenuptommy If you’re using Coinbase Wallet as a self-custody wallet, the TEL upgrade is completed through the official upgrade portal on the network where your legacy TEL is held. The upgrade is 1:1, and the new TEL remains in the same wallet. If Coinbase Wallet isn’t appearing as a connection option, could you confirm which network you’re on and what you’re seeing?
Yes, exchanges can handle the upgrade if they support the new TEL, but the timing and process are specific to each exchange. Exchange or custodial holders should not use the self-custody upgrade portal directly; instead, they should follow the exchange’s official migration process or withdraw to a compatible self custody wallet if the exchange does not support the upgrade. Which exchange are you currently holding your TEL on?
@23Flipper23 I understand. Connectivity issues with wallets and dApps can be especially frustrating when tokens are involved in a migration or staking position. If you’re experiencing something similar, could you confirm which wallet you’re using and which network is involved?
@mrfucker1980 If Exodus no longer supports the browser/Web3 interaction needed for the TEL upgrade, you may need to use another compatible EVM wallet interface to complete the migration. Before moving your TEL, could you confirm which network your TEL is on and how you’re currently using Exodus?
Come on @exodus why would you remove the browser from the wallet? Now for me to do the @telcoin ethereum:0x467bccd9d29f223bce8043b84e8c8b282827790f token update I’m going to have to send my tokens to @MetaMask then connect my wallet and complete the migration.
What you don’t support defi interaction anymore?
Thanks for providing those details. For your privacy and to avoid putting transaction information in the public thread, could you please send the network, transaction hash, and any relevant details via DM instead? We can continue from there and avoid making the thread unnecessarily long.
I understand the frustration, especially since you completed the migration successfully before sending the TEL. If the tokens were sent to a KuCoin deposit address that hasn’t been updated for the new TEL, please don’t send anything else or attempt another transfer. Could you confirm the network you sent on, the transaction hash, and the deposit status or message shown by KuCoin?
@Monkee620 It’s not a swap. The TEL migration is a 1:1 upgrade from legacy TEL to the new TEL contract, so your balance remains unchanged. If you’re holding TEL in a self-custody wallet, which wallet are you using and which network is your TEL currently on?
@nikolaitree Yes, Base is supported for the TEL upgrade. If your legacy TEL is on Base and you’re encountering an “Internal error,” could you DM us with the wallet you’re using and let us know whether the error occurs when connecting, approving, or confirming the upgrade?
