@ABC7Brandi @abc7leslielopez @ABC7 I love her reaction, she's not angry, she handles it as someone who is comfortable with herself and her situation. She looks like a great mother.
@DavidAFrench To be fair, has Hasan had a private meeting with the president? Because a lot of these radical white nationalist do seem to have access to Trump.
@jpodhoretz The corruption has been going on for a decade and yet John and the rest of the Commentary cast were apologist for Trump. Now when the bill comes due, he wants to pretend this is a surprise.
@JonahDispatch This war and agreement allowed a few people to rig markets and make hundreds of millions of dollars and deflect from inconvenient stories about Epstein. Seems pretty consequential and different from the Obama deal tbf.
@JoshDorner The pattern I see deeper than partisanship, it's doctrinal. SCOTUS is indifferent w/ race-conscious government action when it burdens people, but deeply skeptical of race-conscious action when it's designed to provide relief, representation, or opportunity.
@covie_93 Virginia's map was struck down because it violated the Virginia Constitution. The Virginia Supreme Court made that determination. The criticism of the Alabama ruling is that SCOTUS disregarded the trial court's findings, departed from recent precedent & ignored Purcell
@ProfMJCleveland Maybe read the trial record. The May 11 order didn’t decide the merits; it sent the case back under Callais. The three-judge panel, including two Trump appointees, then reviewed the record, found intentional discrimination. The issue isn’t rogue judges. It’s SCOTUS...
@Rightanglenews It's not discrimination and it's not a freedom of speech issue, the school can have expectations standards wrt attire and conduct. When people trivialize the meaning of these words like discrimination eventually as we see now with these voting cases nobody takes it seriously.
@EmTeaVe@M5squared So you haven't read the Alabama trial record.... I wish you had said that rather than pretending you had anything other partisanship to back up your comments.
@EmTeaVe@M5squared Alabama? Read the trial record. Tennessee hasn't had a lawsuit but it's illegal to crack communities like that not that SCOTUS is following the law or precedent.
@EmTeaVe@M5squared You're switching from race to party.
Partisan gerrymandering and racial vote dilution are not the same legal issue.
The fact that states engage in partisan gerrymandering doesn't answer whether a map illegally cracks a minority community under the Voting Rights Act.
