@cullenroche It's called the "bums problem", because the bums issue more of the debt included in the index. Larry Siegel identified the problem 23 years ago in a #CFA Institute monograph: Benchmarks and Investment Management.(2003).
Chuck Grassley suggests that export controls on diesel could follow the example of export controls on soybeans in the '70s. How'd that work out? Growth of Brazil's soybean exports as an alternative to the US, thanks to Nixon's brilliant economics:

@MebFaber I'm really glad I never moved anything to Altruist. This may be VG planning to roll out a new platform more broadly and then accidentally destroy it via incompetence. But I'm open to the idea that they are just buying Altruist to kill it. The end result is the same either way.
