@So8res @robbensinger If by "new discipline" you mean sw engineering and not ML, then I agree. Wrt. the hard eng disciplines' histories, sw eng is barely nascent, and most with the sw eng title are barely engineers. In other words, sw engs working on rocket avionics couldn't fit in with ML engs.

@superdatasci I know it must be hard to crank out so much content every week, but this week's script for episode 1014 reeked of LLM tropes, words and phrases. It was majorly distracting from the content, and led me to not finish listening. Longtime listener, since before LLMs. TY

@labenz @ramin_m_h Rad looking forward to it, thanks

[Tense Future @tensefutur3]

@labenz good morning mr. ai scout, what ever happened to mamba/ssm's? I was very excited 6 months ago that these would be the next inflection point for gain of function on ai models, but they kinda disappeared from the discussion.

@ben_j_todd Got a copy of the new book and am making my way through. The paperback seems to have been mis-bound, or perhaps mine is a one-off. Do I handle this through Amazon, the publisher, someone else?
Great content so far, especially as I'm looking to make a career change.

@J0hnnyXm4s Hey Johnny, got your contact from folks I volunteer with at the WallofSheep/PHV (specifically, InvestigatorChic). I have a project at my company that could use CAN reverse engineering expertise on a Ford Mach E. DM me? If not you, I'd take a referral too. Thx!

[Tense Future @tensefutur3]

@WillCaruana Hey Will, got ur contact from folks I volunteer with at the WallofSheep/PHV (specifically, InvestigatorChic and krux). I think we've also met a few times at DC and L1. I have a project at my company that could use CAN rev. eng'ring expertise on a MachE. DM me? TIA.

@scottbez1 I also had this thought -- my Google drive is a mess because it's too easy to just start a new file that kind of doesn't exist in a folder. It's just on "my drive." Can't find a thing without (and sometimes with) the search bar.

[Tense Future @tensefutur3]

@scottbez1 Lol did the marketing team get laid off recently or something?

[Tense Future @tensefutur3]

@GrimesTelly @relativityspace this one got me hahahaha, bravo

@spiceywasabi They forgot to add: take your shoes off before going inside your home, you filthy animals

@vxunderground I read this as "malware is illegal for nerds" and briefly agreed

.@spotify whoever took over the Sub Low playlist recently is doing a poor job of it. We follow that playlist for the dub sounds, not hyped festival loud-as-possible commercial dubstep. Please compare Caspa's "Neurological" to a recent addition, like ERBES's "Deep Fall." Blegh.
