@Pwoks_Dead Unfortunately, there’s a right bunch of cunts in charge of the UK who don’t know their arse from elbows. Or their waifs in shorts of whatevs.
China update: Buttplug Demographics, the demise of the Chinese economic dream.
For much of recent history, China has owned the title of the most populated country. On earth. Today its population is nearly double of the whole continent of Europe.
Most of the population growth actually happened between the 1960’s and 2010. The population increased from around 600 million in 1960 to a whopping 1.4 billion people.
China 2023 population is estimated at 1,425,671,352 people at mid year 2023, the population is equivalent to 17.72% of the total world population. Its life expectancy is 78.9yrs, infant mortality is 5.7 per 100K and deaths under the age of 5 is 6.9 per 100k.
Fast forward to today, China has lost its crown as most populated country - with India officially overtaking China in 2023 (UN Dept of Economic and Social Affairs). China’s population actually shrank but 850, 000 people in 2022. China’s declining population is as a result of its declining birth rate.
The basic calculation rule for populations for maintaining the population size, is a birth rate per couple of 2.1 children. This is just to stand still on total population numbers. Lower than this means the population shrinks, higher than 2.1 and the population increases in size.
In 2023 China’s fertility rate was estimated at a record low of 1.09.
If the fertility rate remains on its current trajectory of decline, the consequences are serious and devastating for the country. The reasons for this are related to the countries population structure and distribution. As the population declines, the median age grows older. The biggest impact is in the working age population, between the ages of 15 and 49yrs of age.
China’s population in the working age group, peaked in 2010, nearly 14 years ago! It is expected to drop by 40% in the coming decades. This is a nightmare scenario for the economy, and the military. The current trend is damaging China’s industrial might and economic prosperity.
In the year 2000, China had 6.5 working people per retiree. By 2010 it had fallen to 5.4 and by 2020 the number had fallen to 3.6. The current projection is a decline to 1.7 working people per retiree by 2040!
This is a doomsday scenario for China’s decades of prosperity and growth and there are now insufficient young, skilled and trainable workers in the market place. Adding fuel to this fire is the massive problem China has with youth unemployment. In June 2023, youth unemployment reached record highs.
The official figures released by the kleptocratic Chinese Communist party was 21% (a 15% increase in 2 years), of youth unemployment. The unofficial street rate easily shot past 50% unemployment for youth.
The dictator Xi Jinping decreed that the CCP would no longer publish the statistics on unemployment in 2024 - so the predictions are a massive rise is expected again.
