Brain freeze alert: There were 6 not 7 men originally named. They were KSM, Walid bin Attash, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, Ali Abdul Aliz Ali (aka Ammar al-Baluchi), Mustafa al-Hawsawi and Mohammed Qahtani. Qahtani was dropped from the case before arraignment, Bin al-Shiibh last year.

The lead prosecutor in the Guantanamo 9/11 trial said today plea deal discussions for the men accused of planning the attacks continue. Government prosecutors and defense attorneys for the four men, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, negotiated a tentative deal in 2022. 1/
