DeSantis isn't telling the truth about the court's ruling. It did not require that any of that be taught. Instead it blocked enforcement of the state's speech code. It did not require any person to engage in any kind of speech at all.
Well, amid all this nightmare, it seems that Ukrainian diplomacy and our international friends can be congratulated on yet another miracle: somehow, they managed to persuade Donald Trump to promise a license for the production of Patriot missiles.
Which was probably one of the hardest diplomatic tasks in the world. Right up there with having to repeatedly listen, with a straight face, to the insulting nonsense Trump publicly spews about Ukraine, again and again.
Still, I'll believe it completely only when I see that license in Ukrainian hands.
I met with a bipartisan delegation from both houses of the United States Congress Senators – @SenatorShaheen, @LindseyGrahamSC, @SenatorDurbin, @ChrisCoons, @SenatorRounds, @RepMikeTurner – and thanked them for their support and focus on Ukraine. We had an in-depth discussion about the prospects for diplomacy and what is required for it to succeed. I informed them about the Patriot interceptor shortage and Russian attacks on our people. Right now, contributions to PURL and other air defense deliveries are the top priority for defense.
We also discussed the Russia sanctions bill. It is critical to continue increasing pressure on Russia for this war, and this initiative can truly help to advance peace. I thanked Senators and Members of Congress for their words of respect for our warriors and operations, as well as their assurances that assistance will continue. I am grateful to the United States and every caring American heart for their support.
Trump is posting pictures from the strikes on Iran and says, "This is in retribution for yesterday’s bombing of ships by Iran. If it happens again, it will get much worse!"
NEWS: Judge Orders $5 Million Disbursed to E. Jean Carroll After Supreme Court Rejects Trump's Final Appeal
Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan signed an order today directing the Clerk of Court to release the full $5 million judgment against Donald Trump, plus accrued interest, from the court's registry.
Trump has filed a notice of appeal in response.
“The Europeans’ refusal to believe their American colleague has everything to do with the Iraq War. They still vividly remember Secretary of State Colin Powell presenting flawed intelligence about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction to the UN Security Council in 2003. Several European countries were pulled into a war that wound up killing hundreds of thousands. Two decades later, the wound still has not healed.
Rob Bauer, the Dutch chairman of NATO’s Military Committee in Brussels at the time, knows exactly how deep that wound goes. When NATO’s American supreme commander tells him during this same period that the Americans are certain Russia will invade Ukraine, Bauer pushes back. ‘The days of taking you at your word are over. You lied in 2003. Not a little bit — you lied big. If you want people to believe you, you’re going to have to show them.’”
In June alone, nearly 28,000 Russian soldiers were eliminated – and we have video confirmation for every single one of them. The overwhelming majority were struck by drones.
Frankly, we take no pride in this. We are saying it to show what modern war looks like – a war we did not start, but one we are forced to fight – in order to defend our country.
From a speech at the NATO Defense Industry Forum. (1/5)
Trump to Zelensky: We are going to give you a license to make Patriots.
This way he can't complain that we are not giving him enough. Make them yourself.
So, the Stalwart Anti-Communists just opened a chain of government gas stations and called them "FREEDOM fuel"?
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. https://t.co/noOaG5X0uO
BREAKING:
Asked whether the U.S. would be willing to close the skies over Ukraine as a part of the security guarantees if Russia would attack again, Trump says the U.S. would do that
Trump compares Russia’s war against Ukraine to “two kids in a park”:
“You have two kids in a park. They don’t like each other and they start fighting. Sometimes you have to let them fight. Let them see that it’s tough.”
The Qatari plane does not belong to Trump.
It was given to the government. Not to Trump or a private Trump company.
Taxpayers are paying to make it secure for a president. Not to be Trump's personal jet forever.
If Trump tries to take it, we can send a repo man to get it back. We may not approve of this "gift," but it's definitely not his to keep.
Earlier today a dogfight between a Russian SU-35 and an American made F-16 aircraft took place over eastern Ukraine which lead to the Russian aircraft being shot down by a Patriot missile battery.
Additional footage from Bushehr, Iran following a U.S. strike on an IRGC and/or a Basij Security Forces barracks. Reports indicate a large number of dead and wounded at this time.
