It's kind of comical how much cheaper Finals tickets are in San Antonio than NYC. Says a lot about the relative wealth of the two cities and fanbases. No wonder San Antonio has to pay the @spurs $800M of tax dollars to stop them from playing more games in Austin. Dubious how long that can last.
@RobHTX78@spurs It's a fantastic sentiment, and it's why it doesn't really matter if the team actually plays in San Antonio. Save the $800M tax dollars and enjoy from the comfort of your own home while another city willingly pays!
@pbarkersport@RasmusJarlov Kind of? Football denoted all sports played "on foot" vs Polo which was on horseback etc. Soccer comes from "aSOCCiation Football" and was the preferred name to distinguish from "Rugby Football" until the 1960s.
Sanyo,1988, filmed in Houston and featuring music by Jean-Michel Jarre.
And it is like a mini-movie showcasing the style and ethos of this era.
The music is masterful…
@EnergyAbsurdity@larsiusprime@evan7257 No. University Place is in Houston. West University Place is its own thing, but this is also pedantic because the data comes from HCAD which is a county wide database. They literally had to remove it lol.
@AlecStapp No state was more effective at deploying Inflation Reduction Act dollars to build battery storage. Battery storage was the unlock necessary to make solar effective because it bridges the gap between daytime solar and night time wind production.
I keep trying to explain to folks that the @FIFAWorldCup tickets aren't going to mirror the Olympics, but a mid-tier College Bowl game. Just show up to the stadium the day of the game and you're likely to get tickets for $40. If @TexasBowl can't sell out UH vs LSU (63K tickets/72K capacity), you think Saudi vs Cape Verde will sell out in Houston?!?
FIFA has controlled ticket inventory leading up to the World Cup, releasing new batches at certain points and then (as it looks from the chart) pulling back tickets at other times
FIFA still has ~25K unsold tickets. It's now giving thousands of them out for free. Story below ⬇️
@ScottFriedman3@Ticketmaster@spurs I mean, the San Antonio taxpayers pay $800M to keep the team from changing their name to "Austin Spurs" so I get why they ban Houstonians from buying tickets
