Exactly right. Sunak had a choice between two wavering camps: centrists vs gammons. His fatal choice was choosing the pork. The centrists are greater in number and far easier to please. Gammons voting for an R party is an overstated risk (as with Cameron UKIP 2010)@mrjamesob @LBC

Mad thing is that even if govt manage to send people to Rwanda, nobody will stay. Free to leave. Israel tried a similar Rwanda plan, of thousands they sent only *9* remained. I can get sent to Rwanda, and just fly back to Europe again for €300, less than 24hr. @NickFerrariLBC
