@asksalesforce@TrinityTakei@heroku@asksalesforce are you aware that the heroku status page doesn't work. the @herokustatus has said zero. That the Heroku CLI is down. That dyno formation cannot be modified. That people's apps are not working? This is not merely a login issue.
@alvarovillalb_ @leewynne@gerwinveenstra@nicalpi@asksalesforce@TrinityTakei@heroku@herokustatus ChatGPT down, coincidence? SF claim the issue is related to SSO. I use MS356 SSO to login to Heroku. But that's not the only issue. So might be that even non SSO calls go through some auth service which is down. MS, Chartgpt => Azure? Azure the issue, or am I wearing a tin hat?
@alvarovillalb_ @leewynne@gerwinveenstra@nicalpi@asksalesforce@TrinityTakei@heroku@herokustatus my theory (based only on observing our own stack) is system comms is down, so dynos can't be told to scale up or down.. is MY GUESS. The report says auth has failed, so perhaps the auth step in front of every API call is broken?
@leewynne @alvarovillalb_ @gerwinveenstra@nicalpi@asksalesforce@TrinityTakei@heroku I think something has occurred internally on the API level as our running dynos are fine, but our dynos which are asleep (due to our own custom autoscaler) can't scale up, because we can't communicate with the API. Which is why I think some people are reporting up/down.
@SherbKen @MorningBrew This bsod issue hasn't got anything to do with the internet. Unless servers you're connecting to have the same issues, which could be the case sometimes. A lot of what we're seeing are effects to local machines that simply can't run.
@StackOverflow hey guys, why so much crypto/nft coverage on the podcast? It's such a tired/"trendy" topic about something that is so harmful to the world*. There's so much more to more discuss! (*Not just the climate)
@jeffcannata hey man, just want to say right there with you on Don't Look Up. I think it such and artifact of our time and so important. I'm perplexed by the hate. This week's filmcast was so upsetting and hard to listen to.
@Knights_Eternal@jeffcannata My boys are 3 and 4. I find myself wishing away time so they're older and my wife and I can get some peace. But every now and then I see how quickly they've grown already and my heart fills with regret for every moment I didn't give them my full self. It's a tough balancing act.
