In blood, lung tissue...now breast milk. Microplastics are ubiquitous in our environment and our bodies. I think we have enough information to act.

❗️Another week, another PhD student has come to my office in tears as they can’t afford to live in London on £18k. And this is before the price cap increase. @UKRI_News this time - can I ask what you are doing to support the next-generation so there is a next-generation?! Pls RT
I'm tired of hearing this false & destructive narrative:
"plastic pollution distracts from climate change."
Impacts & causes of #PlasticPollution and #climateChange are closely linked, and we should focus on combatting BOTH.

Congratulations @AlexandraGardnr who passed her #PhD viva with no corrections! Thesis title “Linking patterns to process: incorporating physiological mechanism into #climate-based distribution models.” Thanks to examiners @JaneHillYork@jon_bennie and chaired by @_KMETCALFE
Amazing sighting of a large tuna, thought to be a blue fin, hunting off the Cornish coast! 🐟🐟
Overfishing has caused blue fin numbers to collapse due to the demand for sushi. We hope more sightings in UK means that Atlantic blue fin tuna are making a comeback!
