@TheCinesthetic According to DVD commentary on the actual scene, the real reason it was cut was because it was considered too raunchy for the family movie they were aiming to make.
@FWPlayboy That affair ended with him getting fired and his gf at the time dumping him when it eventually got out. She makes me promise not to tell anybody about this. I agree through gritted teeth, because most of us in this kitchen don't like the dude. I kept my word, never ratted him out
@FWPlayboy This kitchen manager is like in his late 30s/ early 40s, and she's 20. Then she tells me that this is not the first time she's had an affair with this same kitchen manager. They had worked together at another kitchen a year and a half previous. (3/4)
@madcap412 I'm kind of bummed to hear the Shadowrun game they were working on has been shelved/cancelled. Never played the tabletop but I was a big fan of 2077 so something adjacent to Cyberpunk like that would have been interesting to see.
@CheekiTako@WorldOfTigra I felt this more than a few times growing up and in high school. It's especially easy to consider this as an option if you have a really poor self-image.
@ShankMods PC is a more democratized open-ended platform, with lots of competeting game marketplaces & launchers, a competition that keeps games prices down. Playstation has one singular place you can buy games from, they set the prices and never mark older games down permanently.
More than half of the reason why I bought a ps5 was because it’s a good 4K disc player. If further PlayStation consoles won’t have disc drives I quite literally have zero incentive to buy one ever again
It seems like an appropriate opportunity in a couple years to replace my laptop and current gen game machine at the same time, while upgrading my home office setup. (7/7)
When I got my PS4 12 years ago, I made a conscious effort to completely transition from buying physical to digital, my primary reasons were to avoid having to juggle disc installs all the time (since disc games still had to install on the drive), and convenience. (1/7)
Not as a knee-jerk reaction to a business decision, but because I'm recognizing a trend in the industry that I no longer want to be a participant in.
My mid-2015 Macbook Air is nearing the end of it's lifespan despite several hardware upgrades. (6/7)
@ItsWelshy89@EXINE_the_1 Ran out of room in my last reply but the point I'm trying to make is cherish the physical media you have while it's still here and functional. Like Zero Mostel said in The Producers; "If you got it, flaunt it!"
@ItsWelshy89@EXINE_the_1 Physical media does decay over time though. VHS demagnetizes over time, CDs DVDs and BRs get disc rot, batteries inside game cartridges burn/wear out. Funnily enough the only consumer-level formats that are really archival long term are Vinyl and Film, but film is barely consumer
@JPlayzCasual@ViewerAnon Exactly. Consoles exist on a very closed system, with zero competition from other game marketplaces and can set prices as they see fit. PC comparatively is very democratized as a platform, and pricing is reflective of that. In the past it had higher entry cost, perhaps no longer.
