I keep seeing money and resources going into promoting accessibility to sport in this country. If we truly believe in the idea of sport for all…we need to start running our national programs through our public school systems.
I realize that’s a huge change.
But there are massive sponsorship dollars out there that could fund the change. And moreover…I think we would get so many more kids playing sports that they might not otherwise see or (a couple sports specifically) be able to afford.
In less than a decade...I also think we would see massive growth in the quality of athletes graduating to those national programs as well.*
*Just my two cents - been thinking about this for too long...haha
