Lukas Schindler (@LukasSch1n) from @univienna joined the Schlögelhofer lab @MaxPerutzLabs to unravel the mechanism and regulation of meiotic DNA double strand break formation in plants.
@Piotraz1@dluzewskajulia ...well, we did already taste quite some other "ecotypes" (..as most other A. thaliana researchers, I guess..)...but this one is exceptional!!! Many thanks!!

"Sipping our way to scientific insights at the SFB retreat in Retz🍷🔬 Exploring the wine cellar for a taste of local culture and camaraderie. Who says science can't be a little grape? 🍇😄 #SFBRetreat#WineScience#ClinkAndThink"
"Exciting times at the PS Lab! 🌟 We' took a break from the lab to join the SFB retreat, divided into fascinating discussions on cutting-edge science and making valuable connections. Stay tuned for insights and updates! 🧪🔬 #ScienceRetreat#PSLabAdventures" @SFBMeiosis @FWF_at
It's a wrap! 🎉 After amazing talks and discussions, @the_PS_lab bid farewell to our #EMBOMeiosis2023 with a gala dinner night. Here's to many more successful and meaningful gatherings in the future! 🤝 @EMBO@FWF_at
Had a great visit with #meiosis labs @MaxPerutzLabs at Univ. Vienna (Joao Matos, Peter Schlögelhofer @the_PS_lab, Verena Jantsch, Franz Klein) and others. Then a gorgeous train trip to Zürich for an awesome visit to @ETH_en Inst of Biochemistry thanks to Madhav Jagannathan.
.@judith_kniest from @UniHalle joined the @HaselbachLab at @IMPvienna to understand DMC1 stimulated strand invasion during meiosis in collaboration with @v_bhardwaj at @the_PS_lab. Using time-resolved single particle cryo-EM she will analyze the in vitro reconstituted process.
Interested in writing your Master’s Thesis in Plant Molecular Biology? @the_PS_lab is looking for a motivated student to perform cutting-edge research in the field of plant DNA repair.
