Moniepoint isn't the only brand that's competing for top-notch, skilled people. In that small percentage, we have some working remotely for foreign brands. We have a large chunk that has relocated outside of Nigeria. We have a large majority working for other local brands. Then we also have a big factor of the kind of roles. For instance, if you do a random sampling and ask people what they are into, you would find more people mentioning skills around software dev/design than roles like operations, sales, and so on.
So I guess it's a fair argument to say that all roles haven't been filled up yet because of a shortage of talent, which I think is the main point here. It doesn't translate to saying that there are no great, employable and brilliant Nigerians.

Getting and thriving in tech isn’t because Nigerians aren’t smart, it’s because many young Nigerians have real challenges.
No laptop.
No steady light.
No good phone.
No data.
No mentor.
No community.
But the hunger is there.
That’s why we started *Tech Relay*.
A community for young Nigerians who want to build a career in tech but lack access, guidance, or support.
Mentorship.
Opportunities.
Sponsorship support.
Real community.
And one rule:
When you grow, you help someone else grow.
It’s a relay.
If you believe talent is everywhere but opportunity isn’t, like, follow us and reshare.
Let’s raise tech stars who will raise more tech stars.

Jos attack is another evidence of failed leadership..
Leadership that prioritizes politics over protection of lives..
Choosing rather to waste our collective patrimony in pre-election jamboree and pre-coronation plans..
Posterity will judge a leadership that now emboldens, enables and replicates what it once vehemently condemned..
I believe in the power of prayers but prayers won’t replace responsibility..
We need humane leaders..
These current folks have zero affiliation with empathy…
We are tired..it’s depressingly exhausting.
We stand with the families who lost loved ones and pray for fortitude to bear the irreparable loss..
And for those who will engage this tweet to support failed leadership for the crumbs they offer you,pls show your irritation via good grammar..
So even if I am irritated by your intentional delusion,I would be encouraged by your mastery of words..
AJS.
I wish product companies build with modularity.
Let me upgrade just the camera. Let me swap in a better battery as plug-and-play.
Why exactly should I spend $2K on a new phone when most things are the same as last year?
But they understand the game they’re playing.
