I’m here to describe the pain many women go thru silently, in short snappy tweets. Sharing voiceless stories of pain and failure from medical professionals.
Back after time off, as I recovered from #endometriosis surgery. It’ll help but won’t remove all the pain as no one quite knows what causes endo. Sharing to raise awareness - yesterday in parliament a minister said: “women with endometriosis have been failed for far too long”.

@pash22@clarky_on@ElaineFalkner@pash22@SolaDiagnostics The Campaign Against Painful Hysteroscopy is keen to have confirmation of the specificity of the WID-qEC test.
35% of NHS hysteroscopy outpatients are enduring SEVERE pain/distress during Trial by NO sedation endoscopy. Law suits underway.
1/4 Appalled to read another report about the current state of the NHS. Highlighting the NEED for accelerated progress within maternity so that the service provided to mothers, babies, and families is safe for everyone.
Had a painful #hysteroscopy? Please tell the independent website https://t.co/b91Y3nigDd about it and hopefully your hospital will make a change in the choice of anaesthesia future patients are offered.
@clarky_on Yes! It's a scandal. Anaesthetists and theatre space have been removed from #hysteroscopy so virtually all women are forced to undergo Trial by Outpatient Hysteroscopy if they want to find out if they have #cancer before it develops to a late stage. @lynbrownmp@raneethakar
@sathNHS Congratulations! The Campaign Against Painful #Hysteroscopy is delighted to read that Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust are considering the introduction of an IV sedation+anaesthesia service for women undergoing womb #endoscopy. Equity with colonoscopy patients at last?
@Endometriosis11 Ha! So that isn’t just me! I’ve been struggling to walk up inclines and hills for the last several years, and have been told a) that I need to strengthen my thighs or b) that it’s ‘asthma’ or c) that I’m overweight (I’m not).
@the_bloody_hell@HysteroscopyA The bit about women being empowered to ask them to stop is so unbelievable. I could hardly breath and definatley couldn't shout. Shouldn't the team observe the patient for non verbal signs of pain and act as their advocate and call a stop. @nmcnews Wilful blindness.
