Some Iranian pilots were trained in Pakistan aswell. Brigadier General Mohammad Atiqahchi was one of the Iranian pilots who trained in Pakistan and spoke very highly of the training there, even saying it was better than in the U.S. (in practical terms). Low-altitude flying was heavily emphasized, giving those pilots an edge during the Iran-Iraq War.
