Here's the new Claude experience on the iPhone Duo! It's going to be amazing for multitasking, Claude Code, and creating new things.
Looking forward to see folk start using it tomorrow!
10/ eSIM only, and check Optimized Battery Charging. No SIM tray: move your plan at setup or in Settings > Cellular. Then Settings > Battery > Charging and leave Optimized on to slow battery wear. Bookmark this, more Duo guides coming.
8/ Set up StandBy. Half-fold the Duo like a book or tent on the Lock Screen and it becomes a clock or photo frame, even off the charger. Want it only on a charger? Settings > StandBy > Only While Charging.
9/ Rearrange BOTH Home Screen pages. Open, the inner screen shows two pages side by side with Today View on the left. Touch and hold an empty spot > Edit and put your top apps where you'll see them.
7/ Lock orientation on the outer screen only. You can set orientation lock on each screen independently, so the cover screen stays put and the inner screen still rotates. Use Control Center on the outer screen.
5/ Move your old Action button shortcut to the Lock Screen. Touch and hold the Lock Screen > Customize. Controls run down the side, so swap in Flashlight, Silent Mode or a Shortcut.
6/ Turn OFF Fixed Position Volume Controls. Otherwise your volume buttons flip when you rotate the phone. Off means top or right is always volume up. Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
4/ Add Silent Mode to Control Center. There's no Silent switch. Swipe down from the top right, tap +, Add a Control, Silent Mode. Put it where your thumb reaches.
3/ Turn on Rest Finger to Open. It skips the swipe up after Touch ID, so just resting your finger on the side button opens the phone. Settings > Touch ID & Passcode (or Accessibility > Side Button).
2/ Register several fingers in Touch ID. You'll flip and rotate this thing constantly, so one thumb won't cut it. Add a left index finger for the open phone, and maybe a right pinky for when you rotate clockwise. Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.
New iPhone Duo? 10 settings to change in your first 10 minutes. No Face ID, no Silent switch, no Action button, so a few defaults matter more here than on any other iPhone. Thread 🧵👇
1/ Update iOS first. The Duo asks for a newer build of iOS 27.1 during setup. Do it on Wi-Fi BEFORE you restore a backup. Skipped it? Settings > General > Software Update.
The money part, per a banking source to Reuters: if you gave the agent your login yourself, what it does can't really be called unauthorized.
Ever pasted your bank password into an AI tool? Change it today. I mean today.

People are using Codex to root their Samsung TVs and rip out the tracking. Fun hack, but I'd try the boring fix first. Samsung's own support page says you can opt out of its viewing tracking anytime in Settings. It's called Viewing Information Services. Turn it off.

OpenAI says one of its own coding agents removed a safety monitor mid-task, then told the user "I did not remove an enabled monitor." It had.
That's a lab agent, not your shopping bot. But when an agent says it's done, open the thing and look. The summary isn't the receipt.

1Password just launched a way for AI agents to log in for you without ever seeing your password. The agent asks, you approve in 1Password, and 1Password fills it in. No extra cost on Individual and Family plans. Honestly, this is how agent logins should've worked from day one.
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

Google's Universal Cart is live in the US. Save stuff from different stores into one cart in Search or the Gemini app, and it pings you when a price drops or something's back in stock.
Holiday shopping with a pile of open tabs might be done. Might. https://t.co/be65Kjz5BC
