I don't know what the appropriate corporate tax rate should be, but why should AI companies be taxed any differently than other companies? If they make a lot, they should be taxed a lot; but why single AI companies out and hit them with "extra tax"?
Also, what's an AI company?
How do you define that again?
If you make models? If your a hyperscaler?
It seems likely its the set of AI companies that Elizabeth Warren doesn't like.
American entrepreneurs, do not make anything innovative, or Elizabeth Warren is coming for you.
I'm sure 3000 years ago when it was first formed you have a lot of info about what went wrong for you - so I'd love to hear it.
Also, what countries do have a right to exist?
150 countries have had their borders defined by war in the past 300 years. So its going to be a tough answer.
Nope.
This has zero to do with military force.
Lasting peace can only come between partners that actually want the peace.
80% of Gazan's (not 80% of Hamas), want dead Israelis.
You can't have peace with people ideologically opposed to it.
If your next door neighbor wants to kill your wife, do you say, "I'm going to take my fence down, get rid of my guns and tell them that they can have all of the property between our houses" so they have an easier time taking out your wife?
Nope.
Israel has had a peace treaty with its southern neighbor Egypt for 47 years. No issues. However, there is a strong dislike for Israel among Egyptians.
This might cause them to attack Israel.
Israel has shown zero signs that they want to conquer Egypt. But if Israel is attacked and wins, it will undoubtably take land for safety in the sinai and the world will blame Israel for colonizing Egypt.
You have no business being in South Bend, IN - the land did not belong to your ancestors. You stole it.
Guess what, 150 countries borders were changed by war in the past 300 years
Good luck trying to find a non-colonizer.
But I know you have a favorite colonizer to hate - the people that lived in their land for 3000 years. The most non-colonizing of the colonizers.
@SenWarren I'm begging you Elizabeth, just one time, make some kind of sense.
Why are you so anti-innovation?
Don't you get that is what kills civilizations?
I know, one day you'll make an X post that is worthwhile - I'll be here to praise you when you do!
@VermontMurders@Christine726508@CynicalPublius The problem is that politicians control both domestic AND foreign policy. Both beget lobbying.
Antisemites donβt like pro-Israel foreign policy decisions by politicians because they donβt like Jews.
This is about hatred.
Bernie, you make no sense IMHO.
AIPAC PAC bundles up individual donations to candidates of up to $3,300 per person (no more than an individual can contribute) - it's exactly the same as one person one vote, but AIPAC handles the administration.
UDP, an American SUPER PAC, can take larger contributions from Americans but only to run ads - not $1 goes to the candidate.
This is America, you can't stop people from running ads. If you to make all political ads illegal (not going to happen), ok, then shut down UDP and every other political spend.
Politician's controls foreign policy. How can you possibly stop contributions to candidates who align with your foreign policy ideals? Makes no sense Bernie.
It is legal for Americans to spend money on political candidates that best represent their interests. Politicians govern foreign policy. voters can make campaign contributions to the politicians they most align with.
Your issue is that you donβt want American Jews to have the same rights as other Americans. Maybe youβll get your way. But not with todayβs laws.
I'm not sure it would be wise for Israel to abandon Israelis living in Judea.
The PA has a single digit approval rating. They'd be overtaken by Hamas.
It would be much harder for Israel to protect its citizens with an enemy in a large area on a high ground, close to a lot of Israeli civilians.
I'll quote the President of the USA:
President Donald Trump (March 2026): Stated the death toll was "much more" than 35,000, having previously cited figures of 32,000. He stated that the regime was using heavy weapons against civilians, saying they used "machine guns to mow down protesters.
Pretty good source I'd say. The head of the largest foreign intelligence service works for this guy.
Any child that dies in war is tragic.
Its more tragic when your own government let it happen / wanted it to happen, by holding hostages
the 1-1 ratio of civilian to combatant is best there's been in urban combat.
Its unprecedented when you consider the tunnels and no that unlike any other conflict your own government and surrounding "sympathetic" countries refused to take refugees.
They told civilians to leave before striking - millions of texts, calls, leaflets
Iran slaugthered 42,000 - all civilians in 2 weeks; Syria killed 600,000; Sudan over 1 million civilians - none were justified
I know you care more about Israel - so you just stay focused on that
