It was 2004, and I was at a dinner in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar.

Sonia’s government had just been sworn in, and for the first time in my adult life I understood what my grandfather had meant all those years ago, sitting there amongst that familiar set.

The most educated, privileged Indians, people who have enjoyed every opportunity this country could give them genuinely believed that only a European can govern, deliver, and lead; that only a Christian missionary institution can impart “real” education; that only a Mr Smith is incorruptible and only a Mrs Smith can truly serve the poor.

And to ease their own conscience, to pretend they still “connect” with the people of this land, they needed a Lalu Prasad.

Someone who confirmed, in the most convenient way, every prejudice and bias they carried about their own countrymen.

Which is why the rage, that impotent, unforgiving rage has burned for the past eleven years.

Because one man shattered every notion they and their collaborator forefathers held for two hundred years.

He broke their script, and they’ve never forgiven him for it.

Victory at Vizhinjam

🚢 For 75 years, the Latin Christian church in Kerala did not allow the development of Vizhinjam Port, saying it would impact Christian fishermen. Neither the state nor Central govts dared to oppose these foreign religionists who scuttled a project of national importance.

🚢 Without a deep sea port, all the big container ships meant for India docked in Colombo or Singapore. The cargo was then transferred to India on smaller vessels. This not only delayed trade but also cost Indian companies more. Kerala lost thousands of high paying jobs to Colombo and Singapore.

🚢 Through its actions - that were condoned by the soft Indian state - the church cost India hundreds of billions of dollars.

🚢 Finally, the Narendra Modi govt showed the church that Kerala belongs to India, not the bloody Pope. Vizhinjam is now run by Adani Ports.

🚢 The moral of the story is that the Christian church in India is a fifth column - an agent of the West. They will sabotage progress and economic growth at a signal from the CIA, SIS or BND. Plus, wherever poverty goes down, there the church attendance plummets. The church needs masses of poor people.

⛪ Wait a few more years, some Indian billionaire will acquire the Vatican and turn it into a hotel.
