@Investor_NICK_ wasn't moody's the last of the big rating agencies to downgrade US govt debt? 13 years after S&P too
base case tbh, not too surprised
wtf this can't be real. if a finance bro (or gal) did this, he'd have his security pass shredded to bits!
sometimes even i (petite female) get pulled aside for random checks. taking randoms into the building would be nigh impossible without proper security clearance arranged at least 24 hours before
i live & work in canary wharf. this did not happen.
fun fact: canary wharf is secured 24/7 by a private security force paid for by massive wealth funds, big banks, etc that have a presence here. security guards are everywhere.
for americans, it's like wall street and beverly hills. infinite money protects this place.
recent tea: colleague dealt with a psycho ex who parked himself outside the bank's building. she made a call. he was removed from the estate quickly and quietly. nobody but those who needed to know (and me as a friend) even had a clue about this incident. slick stuff.
@financedystop ...that's my dad in a nutshell. always busy with his too many businesses and no social media. believes in networking the traditional way, thinks tech is overrated and tangible businesses are the way to go
he's an old geezer tho
