What are these illegal immigrants trying to achieve?
They claim parts of Manipur as their ancestral land, which is fictitious. Manipur has belonged to the indigenous Manipuris of seven clans Communities from time immemorial nothing can change it.

Some illegal immigrants from the Chin-Kuki-Zo groups of yesteryears are disrupting everything in Manipur.

The recent attack by Chin-Kuki terrorists on Meetei villagers marks the first instance of ethnic violence in Jiribam district, Manipur. This act is both dastardly and condemnable. Equally condemnable is the Manipur government's inefficient handling of the situation, given the background of violence that has plagued the state for the past 13 months.

Villages such as Lamtai Khunou, Uchathol, and other surrounding areas in Jiribam district have been severely affected by the sheer negligence and incompetence of the state government, particularly the home department, which is directly overseen by the Chief Minister.

What is more worrying is the manner in which the central security forces have handled the situation. Instead of protecting the Meetei villagers from Chin-Kuki terrorist attacks, the central security forces have engaged in removing Meetei villagers from their homes, thereby allowing the terrorists to burn down Meetei houses.

This raises the question: Is this part of a deliberate plan? Similar actions were observed in Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and Moreh, where the indigenous Meetei community was removed as a form of ethnic cleansing.

Approximately 200 Meetei villagers have been removed by central security forces, and their homes have been destroyed and burnt by the ChinKukis. This is a serious and troubling attempt at the ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Meetei people.

In conclusion, WMC strongly urges both the state and central governments to act decisively to save Jiribam district from the violence that has rocked Manipur for the past 13 months.
