The conclusion of this post is very hasty.
There is no proof that grace or OSAS is a stumbling block. That's just an assumption.
Paul would argue it is the opposite, that the law is the stumbling block.
But atleast we are getting somewhere, sin is a human problem not doctrine.
There are Believers everywhere who are living in sin regardless of the doctrine they sit under.
Paul was an accurate teacher of the word but he still had people under him who were not responding to the word.
Demas was an example, he was under Paul, he heard the mysteries of the kingdom being expounded by Paul but he still loved the things of the world and departed from fellowship ultimately abandoning his faith.
The Corinthian church were in Paul’s word “the seal of his apostleship”. They were the proof that he is an Apostle of Jesus.
They were his disciples indeed. They had the display of the charismata amongst them in great sufficiency.
But amongst them there was this guy that was sleeping with his father’s wife without any remorse.
So that’s another example of a disciple of Paul living in sin regardless of who their teacher was.
So there are people that will live in sin regardless of what you teach them.
Churches like Deeper life for example put people under church discipline precisely for this reason.
People will live in sin regardless of what you teach them.
The important thing is not whether or not people are living in sin, but whether what you’re teaching them is DIRECTLY responsible for why they’re living in sin.
In the book of Revelation, Jesus said the problem with the doctrine of Balaam is that it puts a stumbling block before children:
Revelation 2:14 KJV
But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) and Hypergrace doctrine does exactly this. It puts a stumbling block.
When people do not fear God and cease to recognise His terror because they’re taught exactly that; and then go ahead to live wantonly as a result, that teaching is directly responsible for their lifestyle.
Hypergrace doctrine comes after your fellowship with the Father and leaves you vulnerable to the pangs of sin and the onslaught of the devil.
Jude himself considered doctrine as a direct consequence of lascivious living so the two cannot be divorced.
There’s a reason why people who love certain lifestyles congregate around the strange fire of Hypergrace seeking its warmth.
But that fire will burn you.
Stay away from OSAS.
Stay away from Hypergrace.
My secondary school motto was "Work and Pray"
1. Diet, importanter!, as natural as possible.
2. Read to him or her as early as possible(6 months)
3. Age 1-3: "Help me to do it by myself": engross the child in the fine art of Montessori learning or find a great school that teaches Montessori style.
4. Age 3 to 5: "Help me to think by myself": Sensory skill development, number sense, reading using phonemes et al. Still I'd recommend the Montessori style yet again.
No screens, yet!!!
5. Age 6-11: "I can learn beyond my age": An average Nigeria school will try to limit them but no gree for anybody.
Choke them with challenges of their age and beyond.
Regardless of the subjects they will do at school, make sure these subjects are early introduced by you or a teacher: verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning( I will personally recommend that of the UK and Australia)
Invest in extracurricular activities especially those that will really be beneficial e.g: swimming, chess, coding, free play, etc.
Early exposure to global doings especially kids on spotlight helps a lot.
Find a way to make sure your child teach what they know either to you or a sibling ("You learn twice when you teach")
You will be tempted to pick their absolute spotlight subject, but please don't. Just watch and observe and around age 8 to 9, you will see some signs of what that child really wants to dip his or her excellence.
Once you find that thing ehn, invest in it like preparing that child for the Olympics: extra teachers, online classes, personal challenges with rewards, early exposure to competition around your area, state, and federal, and even outside the world.
While doing the above, check on their academics: if the child is on a streak of win in a school, change his or her school for a more challenging one to play again, and on academics, that's just the play.
Of utmost importance is their mental health, be available to make it healthy and please really make sure there is love at home.
Lastly, pray because you have really put in the work above but know that excellence is truly rewarded, medal or no medal.
Chimdiebube Onwubiko won a gold medal at the International STEM Olympiad.
He is just 13 years old and currently in JSS3. He has finished _Engineering Mathematics_ by K.A. Stroud.
He has now proven himself on the world stage.
@unicodeveloper He was amazing!! But Messi needs to stop taking penalties.
I understand that he welcomes the pressure, and bears the burden for the team as a leader.
@unicodeveloper Defense was a mess, but Argentina had higher expected Goals.
The only thing lacking in Argentina games is clinical finishing.
They need to solve this quickly.
The wait is over.
We have 2 golds: Chimdiebube Onwubiko and Don Anele Munachimso.
We are the best in the world!
Egejurum Onyedikachi’s name was omitted. He should have a gold.
Ronaldo just faced Spain, meanwhile someone has faced Algeria, Cape Verde and soon Egypt. It's like bro is playing Afcon whilst everyone else is playing the World Cup
