@davidbessis Hey David! Just finished your book! I’d like to tell you that, after putting down your book, I suddenly found there is a well inside of insatiable curiosity combined with capacity for doing math for a long time. Truly like magic, since I thought they were long gone. Thank you!

Meditation 15min/day, 2/30 days
Update this experiment to only 30 days, so I can change the meditation duration after it passed.
Overall, a bunch of scattered thoughts. But there were a few seconds when my attention was completely on the breath in my nostrils.
The 15 minutes passed quickly—it ended before I even had the chance to truly begin letting go of my attachments. Tomorrow, I’ll try keeping my eyes closed the entire time.
Meditation 15min/day, 1/100 days
Meditation Notes:
I opened my eyes midway and switched several times between having my eyes closed and open. My mind kept drifting through memories of Japanese Zen temples—some pleasant, most unpleasant.
I adjusted my posture repeatedly; it seemed that as soon as my attention left my posture, I would start to slump. I knew I was practicing letting go, but my thoughts kept following one another, bringing up new memories and ideas.

Worth it.
