@AvidArmor regarding your last newsletter, for the love of consumer safety, please dno't tell people to seal batteries and battery-containing items like flashlights, then link to chamber vacuum sealers. Somebody is going to vacuum seal them instead and cause battery acid to leak.
@JAL_Official_jp I had a great flight with outstanding food, but I am NOT doing a 20 minute survey for the chance at a mystery gift. The only people who will give you feedback that way are those who have inordinate amounts of time. 😔
It's been hard to read much since having kids. Especially non-fiction. Still, check out #GoodreadsYearinBooks@goodreads to discover the 20 books I read in 2025! https://t.co/8OsEBvbBtA
"Uh-oh." I caught a whiff of a chemical smell near my gas furnace. My SO thought it was a grease smell, not gas. So I popped down to my local @SeattleREconomy tool library & borrowed their combustible gas detector for peace of mind. Never been so glad to lose a marital argument.
I have always been a strong believer in and advocate for right to repair laws. I'm proud of Washington State for passing good legislation (though I believe the list of exemptions they carved out should be MUCH smaller).
Washington just became the 6th state to pass an electronics Right to Repair law! A quarter of Americans are now covered by electronics repair laws.
And they also passed a bill for powered wheelchairs! That’s a double win for repair, and a big blow to manufacturer control.🧵
@SharpHomeUSA I expect my $1,400 drawer microwave will last >3 years before the electronics fail, & that you'll provide support more than the minimum 1 year legally mandated warranty!
I get a lot of Qs about it, and convinced 1 friend to buy it. Never again!

@seensedotcom's social icon generator is the ONLY place I could find that could generate a Threads logo in whatever color and size I wanted. Thanks Fabrice! <3

@warmy_io's Academy signup form includes this pretty funny line about GDPR.
Granted, they are enrolling people who already know what GDPR is, but for everyone else, it's the name of the legislation about opting in to emails (among other things). #EmailMarketing#gdpr
@KiddeSafety getting a replacement smoke alarm under warranty organised was easy, but waiting weeks before it even gets shipped is not acceptable. You're held to a higher standard, because now my house is not to code and there's a safety risk. Please do better and ship my unit.🙏🏼
@ring are increasing their camera storage plan pricing AGAIN. I paid $3/mo less than 2 years ago, and now it's going up again to $5/mo.
Time to buy a @WyzeCam with internal storage. (Or maybe another brand but with 4k resolution?) #secutity#smarthome
@EverOutSeattle I just recieved your email newsletter out of the blue. It seems you were supplied (sold?) my email address from @ignitesea. Is that true?
@ignitesea@EverOutSeattle Thanks for getting back to me.
I only once bought a ticket using that unique email address, for your Ignite Storytelling Workshop in April 2019. The ticket was bought through boldtypetickets, which might have been via or in collaboration with The Stranger, who own EverOutSeattle.
The US has messed up its COVID booster rollout. People are cancelling vaccine appointments or are wrongfully being charged because of insurance issues. This is unacceptable. Vaccines should be free regardless of your insurance status. https://t.co/0QNo9SibN0
@CepheidNews & @DanaherCorp (owner of @pantone) can save large numbers of lives but put profits before ethics. May the execs who make this call one day experience such a thing.
Do the right thing & drop the price of GeneXpert tests to $5. #Timefor5#MedicinesShouldntBeALuxury
