Assam CM says three Hmar “militants” from Assam and Manipur killed in an encounter with Cachar Police in the early hours on July 17.
A video has surfaced, where they are intercepted by the police on July 16 in an auto rickshaw, hours before the alleged encounter. Cachar is close to Jiribam in Manipur, where ethnic violence erupted recently.

It is becoming evidently clear that Kuki-Zo lives are worth nothing in today’s India. Kuki civilians can be branded as militants and murdered by police through staged fake encounters. Kukis are treated just like game animals.

The Assam Police reported that three Hmar men were killed in a confrontation.
The video shows the following:
1. The police officers were armed, while the three men who were apprehended were unarmed.
2. Their hands were tightly clenched.
3. The police transported them to a secluded area.

Additionally, the image of the deceased at the morgue reveals that they were dressed in a new and clean bulletproof vest by their attackers.
When the police intercepted them, none of the men were wearing bulletproof vests.
Is it possible that they were forced to wear this attire to falsely depict them as terrorists?
