I went through the comments and saw many Nigerians saying, “Trump can’t lift 100kg either.”
Why do we Nigerians always compare ourselves to the worst instead of aspiring to the best?
Why are we so quick to say, “They’re also suffering”?
Why can’t we aim to be among the best?
If your business pays your bills, gives you the flexibility to be present for your family, and gives you control over how you spend your time, don’t let the internet convince you that you haven’t built a successful business.
My landlord gave one of the tenants a free shop to sell things after she lost her job.
She used her savings to start a mini frozen-food business. It was doing well because our compound is in a student area.
After five months, she expanded the business by adding drinks.
The following day, the landlord called her.
“My wife said she wants to start using the shop,” he told her.
She had no choice but to move out. She found a better apartment with a shop around the area and relocated.
Our landlady has now started selling frozen food and drinks in the same shop...
I have this uncle I had never met physically before. We met on Facebook in 2013 when I was working in a bank.
He saw my surname, profile picture and hometown, sent me a friend request, and I accepted.
He came to my DM and asked who my mother was. When I told him, he said, “You look like your mother. She was my distant cousin.”
I called my grandmother to confirm, and she did. Apparently, he left Nigeria when he was young and hadn’t returned in years.
From that point, he started taking care of me, sending me dollars every month for upkeep.
Fast-forward to 2023, we lost our grandmother. I told him, and he sent money to me and also supported the family.
After the burial, we had a family meeting where everyone mentioned those who supported us. I mentioned the uncle’s name.
One of my aunts went on Facebook, searched for him, sent him a request, and he accepted.
Next thing, she entered his DM asking for her own support.
He sent her money.
But she didn’t stop there. She started calling him regularly and asking for money.
Then suddenly, uncle stopped answering my calls. No replies to my messages. No more monthly support.
Months later, he finally reached out and explained everything.
He said he was upset because I told my aunt that he had personally sent me money during the burial, and she immediately went looking for him to ask for money.
I explained why his name came up during the family meeting and begged him not to misunderstand me.
He said he was fine, but things were never the same again.
Till today, I still ask myself: Why would my aunt do that?
What exactly do we call this kind of behaviour? 🤔
Your reason was that you didn't want it to be done to you, not because it is entirely wrong before God and humans to sleep with another woman's husband?
Doesn't it mean you'd sleep with a married man if it's guaranteed that someone else will not sleep with your husband?
And you're currently in the comment section trying to tactfully force men to admit that it's in mens blood to cheat.
If you had said, "Because you didn't want to break your fellow woman's home," it would have been even better.
But as usual, you thought only about yourself
Wow!
bringing this again.
the first time a married man approached me and i declined, he asked me why, I told him it was because I didn’t want anybody doing the same to my husband.
he laughed and replied, that has nth to do with your future husband. if he wants to, he will.
he went ahead to back it up saying “my house has been robbed 3times within just a year but never in my life have i stolen a dime from anyone. so my dear chill, your husband will eventually cheat if he desires to, it is in our blood”.
Because they want to capture every single move the market makes.
Having an exit plan and knowing when to take the profit you've already made, whether small or substantial, is just as important as knowing when to enter.
Most traders, myself included, don't want to compound little by little.
We want that one life-changing trade.
So a trade moves 1:3R in our favor, but because it hasn't reached the ridiculous 1:70R target we envisioned in our head, we refuse to take anything off the table.
Then the market reverses.
The 1:3R turns into breakeven.
Breakeven turns into a loss.
And suddenly, you're back where you started.
This is how many of us (traders) get trapped in the endless cycle of making money and giving it all back.
It took me a while to realize this.
The market doesn't owe you the entire move.
Your job isn't to capture every pip.
Your job is to capture your portion of the move consistently.
So, sometimes, taking the profit that's in front of you is the trade.
Take that small profit and let go.
I use 20 hours to thank God daily that I didn’t invite people who would bring our wedding video here 😭😭 I was a complete mess that day. I was irritated with everybody, I wasn’t even smiling. They told me to kiss my husband and I refused. Just imagine those videos had made it here? People would have started saying I was forced into marriage or that my husband was ignoring obvious signs. 😂
I was genuinely stressed that day. My mum wasn’t in Nigeria, both my sisters weren’t in Nigeria, and I missed them so much. I was already emotionally overwhelmed, and honestly, my emotions took over.
Then to crown it all, my friend made an UGLY bridal gown for me. 😭😭 Please, let’s give people grace abeg. You never know what someone was going through behind the pictures. 😭
And the LOTSIZE is earned, not demanded from the market.
Which is why you need to respect those who have earned their seat at the table of larger LOTSIZES. If you have access to them, study them. Learn from them. Observe how they think, manage risk, and execute.
Because you don’t graduate to larger LOTSIZE because you want to trade bigger.
You earn the right to.
Anyone who went ahead to marry someone who repeatedly cheated on them while they were still dating did so out of their own GREED, LONG THROAT, or SELFISH INTERESTS.
They knew what they were getting into. They saw the cheating. They experienced the betrayal. Yet they chose to continue with the relationship because of what they envisioned they would gain once they sealed the union with a ring.
It only becomes a pain point and a source of regret when the marriage eventually fails to deliver as much as they expected to gain from it.
That is when they suddenly begin telling the world about everything their partner did, dragging their name through the mud and portraying themselves as the victim.
If the plan to acquire whatever they wanted from that union had worked out successfully, no one would have ever heard about the cheating
They would have kept the secret and enjoyed the benefits.
Their regret isn’t necessarily that the person cheated. The real regret is that the person they tolerated, hoping to profit from the relationship, didn’t turn out to be as profitable as they expected.
“My husband has been unfaithful throughout our 10 years of marriage, and it started on our wedding day.”
If you caught your partner with another woman on your wedding day, the hard truth is that the behaviour did not suddenly begin that day.
There were likely signs before marriage, and you had already seen something about who he was while you were dating.
When you choose to continue the relationship and marry someone despite those signs, you are choosing to accept the person as they are at that point.
That does not mean you deserve to be cheated on. It simply means you should not enter marriage believing you can change someone who has already shown you who they are.
You do not choose a partner based on the hope that marriage will magically change them.
People can change, but you cannot build a marriage around the expectation that they will.
Most times, people become a better or worse version of the person you already knew.🤷♂️
X will teach you real-life, practical experience, if only you choose to recognize it.
Because on the days you do well, you’ll be applauded.
And on the days you don’t, you’ll be reprimanded.
No one cares who you think you are or how highly you regard yourself. You’ll be corrected, sometimes with harsh words that will sting your eyes and bruise your ego.
But you’ll learn.
And if you’re wise enough to listen, reflect, and improve, you’ll eventually realize that even the criticism was part of the calling you to order.
Because this skill has the power to feed me, free me, and fund the lifestyle I envision for myself and the people I love. The kind of life most people only ever dream about.
And with the skill set I’m mastering, I know I’m just one click away from completely changing the trajectory of my bloodline forever.
That click could be tomorrow, but how would I know if I give up today?
Hence I gotta stay locked in all day, every day.
The invention and widespread use of social media and cameras have exposed us to an uncomfortable truth that we MUST all learn to embrace,
FOOLS GROW OLD TOO.
There are people we knew growing up who were foolish as children. As we grew older, matured, built careers, and developed ourselves, they grew older too, but they never outgrew their foolishness.
Age does not automatically produce wisdom.
It doesn’t matter how big they have become, how successful they appear, or how grey their hair has gotten. If they never developed their minds, their empty-headedness simply grew older with them.
Some of these people exist in this life as living examples of WHAT NOT TO BECOME.
Their lives are cautionary tales for the younger generation, a reminder that growing older and becoming wiser are two completely different things.
This is why it is important to develop the ability to recognize these kinds of people when you encounter them.
Don’t mistake age for wisdom.
Don’t mistake status for intelligence.
And don’t mistake grey hair for good sense.
Some fools don’t stop being fools.
They simply grow old.
“There is nothing in this world that would make me go for a DNA test on children I already love. Even if the child belongs to someone else, so be it. Sometimes, when we hear stories about paternity fr@ud, it’s easy to give your opinion when you’re not the one involved. But when it happens to you, you’ll understand the reality.”
