@luke_mccown I can’t imagine how one could implement this without their children thinking monetary impact was a primary value to chase in life.
And how one could disconnect this from actual parental relationship enough to not impact building of moral code and discipline.
@Stellaaa@spencerpratt@nickshirleyy This honestly sounds like you’d like to make it easier for some Angelenos to vote than others… which is disgustingly anti-American can genuinely anti-democracy
@micheal_ws18 Elbow tendinitis, anterior shoulder pain referred from SITS muscles, unilateral pain due to tight pulling kneecap against patella tendon.
Lower back may be the injury most commonly resolved in the gym.
@DeanTTraining Hierarchy in terms of? Muscle growth, general strength, maximal strength, power transfer to athletic endeavors, deep core activation, neuromuscular adaptations, neurological benefit, balance, joint mobility, hormonal outputs?
Everyone needs different balance so different tools
@DeanTTraining Where does your obsession with injury risk come from?
In ~20,000 hours of training clients, I’ve had fewer than 10 injuries requiring a shortened workout. Never had a client need to miss a future session due to injury.
Used properly, free weights are as safe as machines
@homegymcoop It’s a great machine, but anyone attempting to replace deadlifts with anything other than a free weight hinge pattern needs to have their head examined
@ihtesham2005 These idiots realize killing the streaming industry means no new streaming content, right?
They’re enabling the theft of copyrighted work and stealing from revenue streams necessary to continue making shows/movies.
What would compel people to do that?
@coachprburkhead Neither theory would have an impact on lateral forces.
Athletes generating greater forces, sports demanding more hard cuts (NBA bigs make twice as many hard cuts a game as a quarter century ago).
Mostly, the repair/rehab wasn’t widely available… so we just said “it blew out”
@anishmoonka No one in their right mind — and nothing from the video — suggests barbell training for older populations is a good idea.
It’s literally the one tool in the strength training arsenal that older trainees should avoid.
@Cardoso The carefully chosen frame was altered by someone too stupid to understand how much this fundamentally changes the piece.
And someone too dull to chose an alteration which would comment upon — or recontextualize — the original art in a wholly new way
@DerekPederson3 What are you talking about?? I’ve never met a human being who thinks anything beyond wet market is plausible.
I’ve seen online folks who could well be bots suggest it without evidence, but never encountered such nonsense in real life.
@CharlotteAlter@daveweigel Surely grade school education will move back to almost entirely paper and pencil, with a greater emphasis on foundational processes of thinking, communication, and physical world to guard against such a future
@idontwan2know I also really fell for the magic trick of “I’m gonna create a Hunter S Thompson mescaline-fueled distortion that kinda rhymes with our world, but it’s gonna *feel* more like living through our present epoch than anything actually attempting to depict the moment itself has” 🤷🏼♂️
